When fourteen-year-old Karl, son of a humble miner, lines up for the government’s Divine Injection, he hopes for nothing more than a faint spark of magic, if he’s lucky at all. What he gets instead are three mysterious claw marks burned into his skin, and a sudden place among the elite at Golden Divine Academy, where only the strongest Mages are trained. Desperate to understand what the marks mean, Karl uncovers a gift no one else in the academy shares: the power to bond with magical beasts. When he hatches a rare Windspeed Hawk, the connection between them breaks every rule he’s been taught, every time the hawk grows stronger, Karl grows stronger with it. But the claw marks are more than a strange birthmark. They are the first sign of something ancient stirring, a legacy tied to powers the world had long forgotten. As a hidden fate closes in and the balance of power begins to crack, Karl must tame legendary beasts, awaken abilities buried deep inside him, and step into a destiny far larger than being just another Mage. He is something the world hasn’t seen before: the first Legendary Beast Master.
