Flashback.
The mysterious man stopped in front of a house, following the directions given by the girl sitting in the back seat of his car. Hae-Li stumbled out of the car. Looking concerned, the man got out to help her.
"Miss, are you drunk?" the man asked when he realized how strangely the girl he was helping was acting.
Hae-Li stopped, glaring sharply at him. Her expression instantly turned annoyed.
"You! Why do you keep showing up in front of me? You should stay far away from my life. Sob, sob!" Hae-Li kept pounding on the man's body before suddenly bursting into hysterical tears.
"Hey, Miss, what are you doing?" The man stared at Hae-Li's reddened eyes.
Hae-Li shoved the man and yanked hard on his suit jacket. "Why did it have to be my best friend, huh? Why couldn't you find someone else? You useless man! I hate you, I hate you!" she screamed emotionally.
The man pulled Hae-Li into his arms, hoping she would stop crying and acting foolish. But suddenly, the girl looked nauseated. The man began to panic, and the last thing he wanted to happen finally did.
All he could do was surrender as the girl he was helping emptied the contents of her stomach onto his black suit jacket. Afterward, the girl passed out. Completely unconscious.
At the same time, Angel came out of the house after hearing her little sister's screams. She apologized profusely and promised to take responsibility to the man she met that night.
End of flashback. .. .. Although Hae-Li wanted to thank him and ask about what had happened the night before, embarrassment had already engulfed her. She pretended not to remember and tried to escape.
"Oh, it looks like you've got the wrong person. Sorry, I have a lot to do." Hae-Li moved away from the man.
"Sorry?" The man reached for her hand again. "Next time, you need to be more careful when you're walking alone. It's dangerous out there!" he warned her.
"Thank you, but I can take care of myself. Excuse me." Hae-Li bowed and quickly left.
Having regained her memories of the previous night's events, Hae-Li was hit hard all over again. She wandered down the street lost in thought, paying no attention to where she was walking. Until finally...
Screeech!
A car sped up from behind her and nearly hit her, but she managed to dodge it. She threw herself aside and hit the asphalt hard.
"Ah, damn it! Why was I walking in the middle of the street like that? I could've died!" Hae-Li cried out in pain, muttering to herself.
She never expected the driver to turn around and get out of the car to come over to her.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I wasn't careful enough while driving. Are you okay?" The man helped Hae-Li to her feet.
"It's okay, it was my fault. Ow!" Hae-Li grimaced in pain.
"Your hand is bleeding!" the man exclaimed.
The man quickly pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and tied it around Hae-Li's injured hand. Hae-Li accidentally glanced at the watch around the man's wrist. It was already getting late in the morning.
"Thank you so much, but I have to go." Hae-Li still looked frightened to be facing an unfamiliar stranger.
"Wait!" The man grabbed her hand. "Where are you going? I'll give you a ride."
"N-no, that's okay." Hae-Li looked uneasy.
"It's okay, I'm not a bad person. Let me introduce myself. I'm Eun Woo." The man extended his hand.
Hae-Li was still hesitant to take the man's hand, but she tried to push away the ominous thoughts crowding her mind. Still, should she really agree to go with him? Wasn't getting into a car with a stranger pretty terrifying?
