"Erin, happy birthday. This is a gift from me, and this one is from Mom," said a low, calm voice.
Revan's arrival at the rooftop party that afternoon instantly became the center of attention for every guest. Revan was the only son of one of the most influential and wealthiest businessmen in the city. He was known for being so cold and untouchable, and he almost never attended social events like this. Yet the fact that he had made time to show up in person on Erin's birthday had the entire room speculating: Revan must have special feelings for Erin.
Erin's eyes sparkled. Her smile spread wide, revealing happiness she made no attempt to hide. "Revan, thank you so much! You came and even brought me a gift. Please pass along my thanks to Mom, okay?"
Erin let out a small laugh, glancing toward the stairway with a subtly mocking tone. "Don't worry, Revan. She isn't coming here, so you won't have to feel bothered."
Revan merely gave a faint smile—a formal smile that never reached his eyes. "I can't stay long, Uncle, Aunt. I'm learning to manage the company now, so I don't have much free time."
Erin's father nodded with understanding and respect. "All right, Revan. I understand. Thank you for making time to come."
Without lingering, Revan turned and headed downstairs toward the second floor. As he passed through the quiet corridor, his eyes briefly flicked toward the bedroom door that had been open earlier. Remembering the sharp, fearless gaze of the girl he'd met a short while ago, the corner of Revan's lips lifted faintly in contempt.
"Tch. What a weirdo," Revan muttered coldly. Without giving it another thought, he walked away, leaving the magnificent residence behind.
Time passed, and night fell. The lively rooftop party finally came to an end. Erin's guests and friends said their goodbyes and left one after another. The laughter that had filled the air now gave way to silence.
Erin, accompanied by both her parents, Juno, and Natan, walked down from the rooftop to the second floor. Her face still held traces of happiness, and her hand clutched the keys to her new car and the expensive jewelry box she had received as a birthday gift.
But their footsteps came to a simultaneous halt in the second-floor corridor.
"Dad, is someone going to be staying the night? Why is the guest-room door open?" Erin asked in confusion, pointing toward the spacious room at the end of the corridor, which was usually kept tightly shut.
Her father furrowed his brow and slowly shook his head. "No. I didn't invite anyone to stay over."
"Then let's go over there! There could be a thief or some insolent servant," Erin suggested irritably.
The family hurried toward the wide-open bedroom door. The brilliant light from the chandelier illuminated the entire room.
Inside, Kania stood casually in front of the large wardrobe. Spread across the plush king-size bed were a dozen-plus luxurious evening gowns, elegantly designed casual clothes, and classy branded shoes—all of them acquired by Kania through converting Charm Points from the System. Kania was touching the silk fabric of one of the gowns when she heard footsteps rush inside.
"Dewi?! Why are you in there?!" Diah cried out in shock, her eyes widening as her shrill voice shattered the silence on the second floor.
The entire family froze in the doorway. Their gazes shifted between the rows of expensive clothes they'd never seen before and Kania, who stood there calmly without the slightest hint of guilt on her face.
"Dewi! What are you doing in this guest room?!" Father barked in a deep, authoritative voice, his chest heaving as he held back his anger. "And where did you get all these expensive clothes?! Did you steal the family's money?!"
