Gala gazed in awe at Mentari's bedroom, which was so neat, clean, and wonderfully fragrant.
"Your room feels so cozy," Gala remarked as he slowly walked around Mentari's bedroom, which wasn't very large but was incredibly tidy.
"I clean my room every day, bro. I really hate it when my room is messy. To me, the most comfortable place in this house is my room," Mentari replied while feeding Boma.
"But your vanity table is so empty. There's only baby powder and perfume," Gala said, his eyes fixed on Mentari's vanity table.
Mentari laughed softly at Gala's question. "That's all I need, bro. I don't like wearing too much makeup," she replied, making Gala chuckle too.
Thinking back, his girlfriend had never once been seen wearing makeup anywhere.
"But how are you still so beautiful when you only use baby powder?" Gala asked, utterly bewildered.
Meanwhile, plenty of other women out there went through expensive beauty treatments and bought skincare products costing millions, yet their faces weren't nearly as smooth as Mentari's.
"How should I know, bro? Maybe Allah has been kind to me," Mentari joked, making Gala laugh again.
"Your room is so neat. Now I'm jealous," Gala said, pursing his lips as he felt envious and wished he had a room as tidy as Mentari's too. "When you become my wife, you have to keep our room this neat all the time, okay?" Gala requested, carried away by his fantasies.
Mentari shook her head when Gala brought up becoming his wife yet again.
"If I'm not mistaken, you've already said that a whole lot since earlier," Mentari giggled, leaving Gala silent as he thought about it.
"Yeah, I guess I have?" Gala said, confused, scratching the back of his neck even though it didn't itch.
For some reason, ever since he had first stepped into Mentari's house, Gala couldn't stop thinking about and imagining the two of them getting married someday.
"Here's your towel!" Mentari held out a brand-new towel for Gala to dry his still-wet body, snapping him out of his daydream.
Gala happily accepted the towel and intended to leave Mentari's bedroom because he had to maintain his boundaries.
It didn't feel right for Gala to keep staying in Mentari's bedroom while the girl's house was still empty.
Mentari followed Gala toward the door, but luck was definitely not on her side.
Without realizing it, Mentari stepped on a glass bottle, which immediately rolled away beneath her foot.
"AAH!!!" Mentari screamed as she lost her balance and prepared to fall.
Gala spun around and stared wide-eyed at Mentari as she was about to hit the floor. Panicking and no longer thinking about anything else, he immediately ran over and grabbed her around the waist so his beloved wouldn't suffer a tragic fate on the floor.
Unfortunately, instead of managing to help Mentari stay upright, Gala stepped on the empty glass bottle Boma had been playing with too.
The couple both squeezed their eyes shut as Gala, who was holding Mentari around the waist, began to lose his balance as well, and then...
Crash!
They both fell onto Mentari's soft bed, with Gala on top and Mentari beneath him.
Their position was incredibly intimate, their lips pressed against each other.
Their eyes flew open when they felt their lips touching by accident. For several minutes, they both stood frozen, savoring the pounding of each other's hearts.
'Is this what they call a reward for being a good man?' Gala thought, blinking several times.
He was still reluctant to let go of Mentari.
Meanwhile, Mentari could only lie there in stunned silence. To be honest, this was her first kiss—and Galaksi, her own boyfriend, had stolen it from her by accident.
Elsewhere, outside the house, Mentari's parents and her younger stepsister had just returned home when they frowned in confusion at the Scoopy motorcycle parked in front of the house.
She, her mother, and her stepfather had just returned from the mall after spending the weekend together, deliberately leaving Mentari behind.
"Whose motorcycle is this?" Marwan, Mentari's stepfather, asked his wife and stepdaughter.
"I think Fania's seen this motorcycle before, Dad."
Fania's eyes widened as she realized who owned the Scoopy parked in front of their house.
"What's wrong, honey? You know who owns this motorcycle?" her mother asked impatiently.
"It's that poor orphaned guy's motorcycle—the boyfriend of Kak Mentari I told you about, Dad, Mom," Fania informed her parents excitedly.
"So that girl dared to bring a man into the house while it was empty?" Mentari's stepfather appeared to be holding back his anger, his jaw hardening.
Mentari's stepmother held back a smile. She quickly and gently rubbed her husband's shoulder. "Take it easy, honey! Maybe Mentari's boyfriend is just visiting. What's wrong with that, right?" she said in an exaggeratedly gentle voice.
The three of them entered the house together, but they didn't find anyone in the living room.
"Huh? Why aren't they here?" Fania exchanged a glance with her mother, and the two of them traded sly looks.
"Could it be...?" Fania paused, making her stepfather stare at her questioningly.
"Could it be what, Nia?" Marwan asked, clearly growing impatient.
Without answering her father's question, Fania ran toward Mentari's bedroom. But the moment she reached the doorway, she froze, her face twisted in shock.
"AAAA!! DAD! MENTARI'S HAVING SEX WITH HER BOYFRIEND IN HER ROOM!"
