"At this school, you're either a slave or a snack." Liana Valeraine believed her scholarship to Nocturne Academy was her ticket to a brighter future. Past its grand gothic gates, though, lies a nightmare: no ordinary elite school but a predators' den for the pure-blood Dracula clan, where humans rank lowest and their lives are worth no more than a glass of blood wine. Surrounded by hunters, Liana becomes prey for bloodthirsty students. Before their fangs can reach her, the academy's most feared figure claims her first: Arjuna D'Archangelic Xaviero, the cold, merciless pure-blood prince who loathes humans. "You're my servant, Liana. Even death needs my permission to touch you." As his 'personal servant,' Liana is caught between the prince's possessive fixation and the fierce hatred of the other noble clans. Then, at the Blood Season Ball, an unexpected incident awakens the secret sleeping in her veins. A strange blood scent, sharpened senses and a thirst she can't satisfy begin tormenting her. In a school where humans are meant to be prey, Liana realizes something far darker lives inside her. What is Nocturne Academy really hiding? And who is Liana Valeraine, that the deadliest prince of all would betray his own kind to guard a single drop of her blood?
