Chapter 2: Middle School Friend

🔒 This chapter is locked · 20 Quills

Some summers don't end in August. They stay quietly in classrooms heavy with the smell of fresh paper and the steady hum of ceiling fans. Nhat Ha Khuat, just like her name, is a soft, tiny patch of late-season sunlight, lost among the dry, rigid theorems of mathematics. She believes her world revolves around numbers—until she meets Hoang Duy Nguyen, a boy who brings with him the sunlit air of basketball courts and the glow of success. One is a small "unknown" hiding in plain sight; the other is a brilliant "answer" that catches every eye.
