Chapter 12: The Factory

Yubi's father died in an accident five years ago. Before he could even tell his father's relatives, his mother sent him to China to sell the family factory, and the whole clan concluded he had sold out his own blood for cash. Kenan, the cousin who once guarded him like a little brother, has hated him ever since. Now Yubi is back in Indonesia with a degree, a job application and explanations no one ever let him give. Refusing to trade on his name, he takes an entry-level operations job at Kenan's family company, where every move earns him sneers, suspicion and punishment for a choice he never made. Amid the grind he meets Aurelia Wijaya, a sharp, self-reliant perfectionist who believes the past shouldn't define anyone, and his honesty slowly breaks down her defenses. Meanwhile, a kind, simple girl quietly starts softening Kenan, whose life had been nothing but work and revenge. When the five-year-old secret begins to leak out, Yubi faces a choice: keep absorbing everyone's hatred to shield his mother, or tell the whole truth even if it shatters his family. Sometimes the hardest thing to forgive isn't betrayal, but a misunderstanding left to fester for too long.
