News of Vice Guild Leader Vane's downfall and the complete restructuring of the Alvorada Guild spread like wildfire. In newspapers and hunter forums, the name "Leo Ramos" went from belonging to a nobody to becoming a high-level enigma.
Atop the guild headquarters—now renamed Shadow Prime—I watched the horizon of Capital City.
[Status Panel Updated] Name: Leo Ramos Level: 25 Class: Prime Devourer (Unique) Strength: 104 Agility: 93 Vitality: 63 Mana: 770/770 Active Skills: [Devour - EX], [Shadow Camouflage - B], [Shadow King's Domain - EX], [Silent Steps - B] Equipment: Greatsword of Agony (Rank A), Abyss Ring (Rank A)
A sharp beep from my tactical communicator broke the silence. It was a direct call bearing an emergency seal from the National Defense Council.
“Mr. Leo Ramos?” a firm female voice said from the other end. “I'm Commander Elena, from the Association Headquarters. The Rank S Rift in the center of Capital City has undergone a premature fluctuation. The seal will break in less than twenty-four hours.”
“I thought we had four days,” I replied, adjusting my reinforced gloves.
“Mana seismic activity has tripled over the past two hours. Every elite guild in the country is being mobilized. We need every Rank A Hunter or higher on the front lines.”
“I'll be there in thirty minutes.”
I ended the call. My personal system screen immediately opened with a notification in gleaming red letters:
[Main Quest Generated!] Objective: Survive and conquer the Rank S Rift: "The Great Ruin." Special Condition: Devour the Sovereign Entity's Core inside the Rift. Reward: [Class Evolution: Shadow Lord] + [Summoning Army Unlocked]. Failure Penalty: Total Destruction of Capital City and Player Death.
“Summoning Army...” I murmured, feeling a thrill of excitement. “That's exactly what I need.”
