At the airport exit stood a handsome man in sunglasses and a gray sweater. He was tall, with a sharp nose, fair skin, and a comb-over hairstyle. His clean outfit made him look incredibly cool, further radiating the handsome aura of a man named Haziq Alqhifari Malandre. He was twenty-seven years old. He walked toward a yellow Sienta, pushing a suitcase with his right hand. Then he knocked on the yellow car's door while taking off his sunglasses. His good looks became even more apparent, and his narrow eyes made women fall in love at first sight.
Inside the car, a man was video chatting with his girlfriend.
"Knock, knock." Zaki tapped on the car window.
The man came to his senses and looked toward Haziq.
"Haziq?!" Zaki called. He immediately ended his video call and got out of the car. The man ran toward Haziq and hugged him so tightly that he nearly choked him.
"Ow, ow ... my neck!" Haziq cried in pain. "Are you trying to hug me or kill me, Ki?" Haziq asked, hoping the man would let go.
"Sorry, sorry." He smiled.
The man with Haziq was named Zaki Affan, Haziq's best friend and cousin. Zaki was friendly and funny. He had shoulder-length hair and a sweet smile. He also looked cool when he tied his long hair back.
"Ki, your hair is looking more and more like Bak Mie," Haziq teased as he put his suitcase in the trunk.
"Are you making fun of me? Even like this, plenty of people like me, you know." Zaki complimented himself jokingly.
They got into the car. "They like your money," Haziq said with a laugh.
"Better than being you. Plenty of people like you, but you don't want any of them. Do you want to live alone forever?" Zaki shot back, questioning Haziq's love life.
"The right time will come when it comes," Haziq replied calmly.
"You're so cocky." Zaki laughed.
They chatted and joked around the whole way.
"Haz, your Mom is throwing a party at the house right now. She invited everyone to gather and wait for you," Zaki said.
"Seriously?!" Haziq asked.
"I'm serious." Zaki looked at Haziq seriously as he drove. "You forgot about your Mom's habits. Aunt Lena is there too!" Zaki revealed.
"Ugh!" Haziq exclaimed. He glared sharply at Zaki. "I'm dead! Don't tell me Puri is there too?" Haziq asked.
Zaki laughed as he pressed down on the gas, speeding up the car.
A few minutes later, Haziq and Zaki arrived home. Haziq's house was so grand it looked like a palace. There were so many guests invited by Mom Maria to wait for Haziq's return. They were thrilled when Haziq finally came back. Haziq, on the other hand, felt embarrassed when he saw them.
"Ki, please take me back to the airport!" Haziq pleaded, closing the car door again after Zaki opened it. "If I get out now, I definitely won't survive."
"No way! Everyone's looking at you," Zaki replied, refusing his request.
"Haz, hurry up and get out!" all the guests shouted.
Haziq was then forced to get out of the car. His good looks made everyone scream.
"Welcome back, Haziq!" they shouted.
Haziq greeted and thanked everyone who had welcomed him. He never forgot to hug his Mom, Dad, and younger sister, Zizi Malandre. They were overjoyed that Haziq had returned after living in London for ten years.
They had missed Haziq terribly. Mom Maria had threatened him that if he didn't come back today, he shouldn't come back ever again. Haziq had been spoiled by his mother, but he was an independent, kindhearted, and firm man.
