For the past two months, Anna had been working at one of the largest clothing companies in her city. Working for a company like that required her to dress neatly and fashionably. She worked hard and earned a decent position for someone who had only recently graduated. Being a designer required interesting ideas that suited the modern era. Because Anna was an intelligent girl who was talented at drawing, she developed her gift perfectly, although in the eyes of the other employees, Anna was a new hire who acted conceited and thought she was so smart. Still, Anna continued to conduct herself calmly and professionally at work.
Anna stepped out of her house. She was wearing a cream-colored office suit. With her long hair, Anna looked beautiful.
Anna looked terribly rushed as she ran toward the front door.
"Mom! I'm heading to work now!" Anna called out from the doorway.
"Okay, be careful!" Mrs. Sri shouted from the kitchen.
A short while later, Anna arrived at the office. She went straight into the elevator. Just as the doors were about to close, someone suddenly blocked them with his hand. A man in a black office suit stepped inside, his face hidden behind the files in his hands. He seemed to be reading them.
Anna stood behind the man. "Can he really walk around with his eyes covered like that?" she muttered, staring at him in bewilderment.
A moment later, the man lowered the files covering his face. It was Haziq. His gaze was intensely focused on the documents he held. Anna remained completely silent. Still, she felt uncomfortable being in the elevator with a man she didn't know, especially since he hadn't said a word.
At last, the elevator stopped on the sixth floor. Haziq closed his files and stepped out before Anna. He didn't seem to notice her behind him. Anna walked in the same direction as Haziq.
"Sir?" greeted a woman named Siska, his assistant. Haziq merely gave Siska a faint smile.
Haziq entered the boss's office with his assistant, Siska. She appeared to be heavily pregnant. Siska followed Haziq closely, carrying several files in her hands.
Anna went straight to her desk, which faced the boss's office. The other female employees gazed excitedly at Haziq.
"Hey, hey, did you know? He's Mr. Malandre's son. He's taking over as CEO for his dad now," said a female staff member named Dina, who clearly enjoyed admiring Haziq's good looks.
"He's so handsome, Dina! I heard he just got back from London, right?" another employee asked.
"Yeah. He just returned home last week," Dina replied.
"So he's a Malandre descendant too? Wow, just hearing the name Malandre gives me chills," another employee said in awe.
"Why?" Dina asked.
"Because the Malandre family is filthy rich and extremely influential," the employee replied before returning to her work.
Dina was the best employee at the Malandre company. But she was also incredibly conceited, dressed provocatively, and constantly clashed with Anna.
"Now I'll feel motivated to work again with a hot boss like him!" Dina shouted.
Anna could only listen to their conversation from her desk. "Oh, he's the new boss," she whispered to herself.
Day after day passed, and Haziq worked with intense focus. He studied every file related to the company: its projects, clothing designs, and assets. He familiarized himself with every employee without missing a single one. He had to know everything that concerned the company.
