I didn't have to wait alone for long before my teacher arrived because it was time for class to start. I pulled all my notes out of my bag. After studying for three hours, it was time to take a short break before continuing again later.
I stretched my body, which was already incredibly sore. I hadn't realized I'd been sitting hunched over the whole time because I was so absorbed in studying the material for my exam. My teacher had asked why I was reviewing this material, but I explained that I hadn't ended up taking the exam a few days ago and had been scheduled to take a make-up exam, so I had to study it again to keep from forgetting the material.
Since my break wasn't very long, I ordered food online to save time. Even though the break was short, I was already starving, so I had to make the most of it. I decided to order chicken noodles from a vendor near my tutoring center. I'd passed by it several times but had never had the chance to eat there, so I wanted to try it—especially since so many people online said the chicken noodles were delicious and recommended them.
After placing my order, I waited for the driver to bring my food. When the app showed that the driver was already near my tutoring center, I went downstairs to pick up my food myself. There was actually a place to leave orders, as well as a cleaner who could deliver the food straight to the classroom, but I didn't want to trouble them.
I went downstairs and met the driver who had delivered my food. After receiving my order, I started walking back upstairs because there were chairs and tables near my classroom where I could eat.
"Rara?"
I was already in the elevator and had pressed the button for the floor I wanted to go to. I heard someone calling my name, but I was already in the elevator, and the voice seemed to have come from outside my tutoring center. I turned around in the elevator to look outside and see who had called me. The voice sounded familiar. When I looked out, the elevator doors began closing right then. All I could make out was a blurry woman.
My break was really short, so I didn't think about it much and chose a table right away. I ate quickly and with great enthusiasm. It turned out the people online hadn't been lying—these were some of the best chicken noodles I'd ever eaten. I didn't regret buying them at all.
After eating quickly, I went back to my previous classroom to get my bag. I put all the notes I'd taken out back inside and carried my bag to the new classroom. It was only two classrooms away from the previous one, which was why I'd waited until after eating to get my bag. Besides, my tutoring center was very safe, with strict security from the guards downstairs and CCTV cameras in every corner, so leaving my things in the classroom had become normal for me.
I continued studying in the new classroom. By the time I finished, it was time to go home. When I started studying earlier, I'd taken off my hoodie, but now I wanted to put it back on for the trip home because the air outside seemed cold. Since I got sick easily, I had to take extra care of myself.
I put my hood back over my head. I checked all my belongings to make sure I hadn't left anything behind, because that would have been a huge hassle. Downstairs, I said goodbye to Indah, who was still in the same place as before.
"You got this, Indah. I'm heading home now."
