“What do you hope for in this world?” Ivanna rested her chin in her hand, gazing with interest at the figure in front of her after tossing out the question.
“To live my second life well. What about you?” The figure asked her the same question. They tilted their head, the corners of their lips lifting slightly.
Ivanna pretended to think as she gazed at the beautiful evening sky. Then she let a lovely smile spread across her face, leaving the figure in front of her spellbound.
“I want to see the ending I planned. A happy ending,” Ivanna replied after a few moments of silence.
“We almost made it, huh?” Ivanna looked at the figure, then broke into a radiant smile.
“Of course! There’s only one arc left.”
The figure chuckled. “You really think this novel is fantasy, huh? Using terms like arc and everything.” They shook their head, unable to understand their friend’s way of thinking.
“This novel is a tragedy and angst.” Ivanna’s murmur, still audible to the figure, made the atmosphere turn silent and cold. The smile faded from the figure’s face.
“Are you okay?” Concern was clearly written across the figure’s face as they gazed meaningfully at Ivanna.
“Of course!” Once again, Ivanna showed off the sweetest smile she had. But it wasn’t enough to dispel the worry from the figure in front of her.
“The storyline has to be changed so we can reach the ending I want. At the very least, they need to get a happy ending.”
“Don’t say they. Say us. We need a happy ending.”
