Chapter 12: The First Person to Film Me

🔒 This chapter is locked · 20 Quills

In Taiwan, there is one day each year when hidden filming, snooping, and surveillance are all perfectly legal. Some people use it to catch unfaithful partners. Some secretly record celebrities. Some strike it rich overnight by selling other people's secrets. Chen Zian just wanted to tail his girlfriend and learn whether she was cheating on him. Instead, inside an old apartment building, he found something far worse: someone had been secretly recording him for over ten years, and the earliest footage was dated before the Legal Peeping Day even existed. That was when he finally understood what this day really permitted. It was never about peeping. It was about letting everyone already lurking in the shadows openly trade fragments of one another's lives.
