After that bout of pain, Sakya Kumara knew his journey had only just begun.
He had to leave for Singkarak City within three days, because Kirani's ability could only make this dead body move freely for that long.
If he failed, it would take at least four more days to restore the body's vitality.
Sakya Kumara felt excruciating pain as Kirani's energy spread throughout his entire body.
His body felt as though it were burning, and he nearly screamed at the top of his lungs like before. Fortunately, the result was worth it. All his strength had returned to him, even if only temporarily. At least until Divine Physician Adheswara could heal him by restoring his original body in this Mortal World.
Fortunately, Kirani's ability was limited to resurrecting him. The stench of death still clinging to the body Sakya was using could be neutralized, preventing it from spreading outside.
"Sorry, Sakya. But can I ask who this Physician Adheswara we're looking for is?" Kirani suddenly asked.
Sakya Kumara hesitated to answer. However, considering everything this woman had done for him, it felt wrong not to answer her.
"He's the Royal Physician of the Demon World, highly respected throughout the Hell Dimension. This physician is renowned for being able to cure anyone suffering from illnesses that no other physician in the Demon World can treat," Sakya Kumara finally replied.
This Divine Physician had decided to leave the Demon World because natural resources—including medicinal herbs and trees—were impossible to obtain in that barren, desolate world, even though he needed them for his treatments.
There was nothing this Divine Physician could not cure. Unfortunately, his abilities would be severely limited if he insisted on remaining in the Hell Dimension. He needed a new challenge to become even more useful and reach a higher level of mastery. That was why he had decided to leave the Demon World forever while Sakya was still a child.
Sakya learned about this Divine Physician when the physician successfully cured him of the eternal flames that had engulfed him as a child and could never be extinguished. Those flames had come from the Demon Spirit that had inhabited his body since birth.
The Divine Spirit and Demon Spirit inside Sakya had rendered him completely unable to move. Only Divine Physician Adheswara had succeeded in making both spirits inside his body fall silent and remain inactive forever, because Sakya had possessed no power to resist the two spirits possessing him.
The savage Demon Spirit had constantly tried to burn Sakya from within, covering his entire body in eternal flames. Thanks to Adheswara, the spirit could no longer do anything and became completely useless and inactive inside Sakya Kumara's body. The pain young Sakya had often suffered gradually faded as the Demon Spirit lost the ability to hurt him. That Demon Spirit had been desperate to seize Sakya's body entirely for itself so it could manifest in the mortal world.
Sakya also possessed a Divine Spirit within him that was said to consume the demon spirit possessing him completely. However, if it could be controlled, the Divine Spirit would turn Sakya into an extraordinarily powerful swordsman, making him immune to everything, including poison and the demons' dark aura.
Divine Physician Adheswara had once promised King Mahesa Kumara that he would reactivate the Demon Spirit and Divine Spirit within Sakya Kumara's body if possible, once Sakya had grown up and acquired enough Chakra energy to control them.
He also knew of a medicinal concoction that could reopen all the meridian nodes in Sakya's body that had been rendered inactive by the influence of the two spirits, aided by Chakra techniques. Divine Physician Adheswara had also continued conducting experiments to heal Sakya Kumara completely.
Unfortunately, the Divine Physician could not fulfill his promise because he chose to leave the Kumara Kingdom for the Mortal World, which was rich in natural resources for his medical experiments. Perhaps Physician Adheswara truly did intend to heal Sakya Kumara by searching for ingredients he could use in the Mortal World.
"He's that incredible?" Kirani's words brought Sakya Kumara back to his senses.
"Yes, he's that incredible!"
"How is it, Sakya? Can you control this dead body?" Kirani asked after successfully resurrecting Sakya Kumara.
Actually, Sakya would have preferred to go there alone, but he had to bring Kirani with him because he had promised to help her find her father—once he successfully regained his original body.
To Sakya Kumara, a promise was sacred. It could never be broken. Whatever the reason or risk, he had to bear the consequences once he had given his word.
Besides, only Kirani could watch over him if he failed to find the Divine Physician within three days. Kirani was also the only one who could make his dead body active again after the girl's energy replenished over the next four days.
"For now, I can move freely, though not as freely as I could in my original body!" Sakya Kumara declared.
"Be patient... This is better than having to crawl around like you did before, right?" Kirani reminded Sakya Kumara to be grateful for his current condition.
"Thank you, Rani... You've helped me so much all this time! I'll never forget what you've done for me!" Sakya Kumara said.
"This dead body can't hold out much longer, either! If we don't find a divine physician who can remove your original body from this one soon, I'm worried you'll become trapped inside this body as it starts to rot! We'd better leave now... Don't waste any more time!" Kirani urged him, appearing more enthusiastic than Sakya Kumara.
Their journey was quite arduous. They had to cross dense jungles and swamps where no roads had yet been built. Yet the difficulties of the journey seemed to draw them closer.
Sakya protected Kirani several times, making the girl feel increasingly flustered whenever she was near this demon. Unfortunately, Sakya Kumara was different. For now, he regarded Kirani only as a friend.
Before they knew it, they had arrived in Singkarak City after two days. Sakya had only one day left to find Divine Physician Adheswara. Yet finding him felt like searching for a needle in a haystack in the middle of this city, which teemed with a sea of people.
"We're here!" Kirani said. "Finally, we can rest somewhere decent!"
"Are you tired? If not, how about we look for the divine physician first, then find an inn where we can rest?" Sakya Kumara asked.
"All right... No problem, Sakya! Let's search this bustling city for information about Divine Physician Adheswara first!"
