Waking in a strange world of swords and sorcery, a modern man finds he has been reincarnated as a baby left alone deep in the Forbidden Forest. At that same moment, deep sorrow is settling over the Duke's estate. Grand Duke Vaelith's newborn son has been pronounced dead moments after birth, leaving the Duchess in hysterical collapse. To protect his wife's sanity and keep rival noble factions from learning that the main bloodline has been cut, the Duke takes a desperate gamble. When one of his trusted knights finds a mysterious infant in the forest—none other than the man reborn in that tiny body—the Duke declares him, on the spot, to be his surviving son. More than ten years go by. That abandoned baby has grown into Caelen von Vaelith: a young man with dark blue-black hair and eyes the cold gold of a winter sun. Behind the mask of a brilliant, arrogant heir to the throne, Caelen knows exactly how fragile his position is. He must make his way through the Royal Academy against the scheming tides of noble politics, all while hiding the secret power he carries from the forest where he was found. One wrong step could unravel the Grand Lie, ruin the honor of House Vaelith, and take away the second life he was given.
