Leonard Altharez suddenly kicked down the door to his house. CRASH! The impact echoed throughout the entire house. The door he had just smashed open stood wide. Leonard stood in the doorway, breathing hard. His gaze was dark, his jaw clenched, and both hands were balled into fists so tight that his knuckles had turned white. A few minutes ago, he had still been sitting in his car, monitoring the hidden camera installed in that bedroom. At first, the camera had merely been part of the operation. The target his secret agency had been hunting for months had finally walked into the trap. Donny Zack—the illegal-drug dealer who had always managed to slip away from pursuit—turned out to be involved with his wife. Leonard had never imagined their relationship would end like this. On the camera feed, he had seen Mala bring Donny into the bedroom. Then the door closed. And what happened afterward made Leonard's blood feel as though it were boiling. Now, the sight was unfolding before his eyes again. Mala and Donny lay in the same bed, covered by a thick blanket. They both looked as though they had just fallen asleep after what had shattered Leonard's heart and set his anger ablaze. For several seconds, Leonard simply stood there. Not a word. Not a sound. Only a sharp stare that made the air in the room feel heavier and heavier. Then— "Get up, you bastard!" Leonard strode quickly toward the bed. He seized the edge of the blanket and yanked it away. The blanket flew to the floor. Mala and Donny's eyes instantly flew open. "Leo?" Mala's face immediately went pale. "Huh? Leo, why are you home already?" she stammered. "Weren't you working out of town?" Leonard let out a short laugh. It wasn't a happy laugh. It sounded more like the laugh of someone who had reached the end of his patience. "Shut up!" The shout made Mala tense and flinch. Still confused, Donny tried to get up. "Leo, just listen—" Before he could finish, Leonard had already grabbed him roughly by the hair. "Get up, you son of a bitch!" "Ow! Let go!" Donny tried to knock Leonard's hand away. But— THUD! A punch landed squarely in his face. Donny staggered. Before he could regain his balance, the next punch slammed into him. "This is because of you!" THUD! "I've been chasing you for months!" THUD! "And you had the nerve to come into my house!" Donny finally snapped. He shoved Leonard with both hands. "Don't think you can just hit people because you're an officer!" Leonard stared at him coldly. "You still have enough energy to talk?" Donny clenched his fists. "Don't go looking for a death wish!" He threw a punch. Leonard dodged. The two of them then launched into a fight. The small table beside the bed was shoved aside. The lamp fell to the floor. A chair scraped across the room and slammed into the wall. Mala screamed as she pulled the blanket over her body. "Leo! Enough! Please, stop!" But her voice seemed to go unheard. Leonard had already lost control. Donny tried to fight back several times, but his physical strength was no match for Leonard's tall, muscular frame. Every time Donny tried to stand upright, Leonard knocked him back down. "Stop!" Donny shouted. Leonard grabbed him by the collar. "Stop?" Leonard was breathing hard. "Do you know how many of my men nearly died chasing you?" Donny fell silent. "Do you know how many people you've ruined?" Leonard shoved him until Donny's body slammed against the floor. "And now you're destroying my family!"
