Meanwhile, Viora was in the salon getting a beauty treatment. In the hands of the expert, Viora only underwent a few light facial treatments this time, since she'd been there just last week.
After spending less than an hour there, Viora's face looked fresher and more radiant. As soon as the treatment was finished, she got up and went to the cashier to pay.
However, when she reached the cashier's desk, the noisy commotion of a group of people outside caught Viora's attention. She quickly handed over her credit card.
Glancing outside from time to time, the curious Viora asked the cashier,
"Ma'am, what's actually going on outside? It's so damn loud."
The cashier hesitantly informed her,
"Uh... Ma'am, it looks like there's some kind of protest going on. But I don't really know either."
Viora's eyes immediately widened.
"What? A protest?" Viora looked outside again. Anxiety instantly crept into her thoughts.
Before she could ask anything else, the cashier's voice made her turn around.
"Here you go, ma'am. It's all done."
The cashier held Viora's credit card back out to her. Viora hurriedly slipped it into her handbag and quickly headed toward the door.
However, afraid that her safety might be threatened, she chose to observe from inside the salon along with several other clients. Through the black glass walls and doors, she had a clear view of what was happening outside, while people outside couldn't see in nearly as well.
A few moments later, the sound of a speaker mounted on the wall in the corner of the salon filled the room.
"May we have your attention, and we apologize for disturbing your comfort. For your safety, everyone, including our clients, is asked to remain inside the salon, as the situation outside is currently unsafe. Please wait until our staff have declared the situation completely secure. We are contacting the authorities to deal with this disturbance. That concludes our announcement. Thank you for your attention and understanding."
Hearing the announcement made Viora even more anxious. She had a bad feeling. After all, she had come here in her husband's official car, remember? And those people... Besides shouting threats, they were also visibly carrying weapons that posed a serious danger to everyone's safety.
Viora's thoughts immediately turned to the driver.
"Oh God, I wonder how Mr. Yunus is doing right now. Is he okay?" she worried inwardly.
Without thinking twice, Viora immediately called her driver. But he didn't answer, no matter how many times she tried. Viora grew increasingly uneasy. Especially as the crowd continued to swell.
"Oh no, what if Mr. Yunus is the target?" Viora whispered as she rose onto her tiptoes, trying to see the situation more clearly.
But she couldn't find the driver's face in the crowd, partly because the building divider next door blocked her view. Nor could she make out clearly who or what had triggered their anger.
Meanwhile, the situation outside grew even more heated. The red-plated car was what had truly provoked their fury. Mr. Yunus was forced to get out of the vehicle. Despite trying to calm them down with the help of the security guard there, he was overwhelmed, growing increasingly worried for their own safety as he faced dozens of people holding all kinds of weapons, ready to swing them at any moment.
"We know whose car this is. Come out, COWARD!"
"Where's Arven? That corrupt nepotist has no right to sit in a government office."
"Yeah, that's right! Where is he? If he won't come out, we'll drag him out!"
Others chimed in.
"That's right. Then let's just destroy his car!"
Everyone raised their clenched fists into the air.
"Just burn it!"
"AGREED...!!!"
