Diana was still standing there, frozen.
Her gaze remained fixed on the young man lying on the floor. Panic and confusion filled her face.
“How could there be a human here?”
Diana looked around the room.
There was no one else.
The door was still closed, and there was no other way to enter the room. Just moments ago, this place had even been empty.
“Where did he come from?”
There was no answer.
Diana looked back at the young man.
She didn’t know him. She didn’t even know whether he was still conscious.
“What should I do…?”
Diana fell silent.
She hesitated to approach him, but then remembered that the young man had appeared out of nowhere after a mysterious light emerged from the large dragon statue.
If she left him in a place like this, something bad might happen.
“If I leave him here, something could happen to him…”
Diana finally made up her mind.
“All right… I’ll just take him home.”
She crouched beside the young man and tried to lift him.
The young man’s body was surprisingly heavy.
“Ugh…”
Diana summoned her strength and slowly managed to pick him up.
But at that very moment…
The young man’s consciousness began to fade farther and farther away.
Diana’s voice grew increasingly faint.
Then everything went dark.
God’s Dream
There was no sound.
There was no wind.
There was no ground beneath his feet.
Neo stood alone in the middle of an endless void.
There was no sky above him.
There was no ground below him.
Only vast darkness shrouded in a faint light.
Neo looked around in confusion.
“Where is this…?”
There was no answer.
He took a step, but he had no idea where to go.
Suddenly…
A figure appeared before him.
Neo stopped at once.
The figure stood several yards away.
Its body was shrouded in such brilliant light that its face couldn’t be seen clearly.
Neo didn’t know whether the figure was human or not.
However, there was something about its presence that made Neo feel it wasn’t an ordinary human.
The mysterious figure finally spoke.
“Neo…”
Neo’s eyes widened slightly.
He stared at the figure.
“Neo?”
The name sounded unfamiliar to him.
And yet, for some reason…
The name felt like it belonged to him.
“Who are you…?”
The figure did not answer Neo’s question.
It merely stared at him in silence.
Then a deep, mysterious voice rang out.
“Find… the Demon King.”
Neo was startled.
“The Demon King…?”
He tried to approach the figure.
“Wait! Who are you?!”
But before Neo could get an answer—
An intensely bright white light suddenly appeared.
The entire void began to fill with light.
Neo raised his hands to shield his face.
“Ugh…!”
The mysterious figure slowly faded from view.
“Neo…”
The voice sounded farther and farther away.
“Find…”
Neo tried to chase after the voice.
“Wait!”
But his body felt increasingly light.
His consciousness slowly faded.
The voice rang out one last time.
“Find… the Demon King…”
White light filled Neo’s entire field of vision.
Then…
Everything fell silent.
