Lyra received a text message from Arga. Its contents made her world seem to collapse.
Arga: I'm sorry. I think our relationship should end here.
Lyra was stunned. Without realizing it, tears began to fall. The relationship she had always been so proud of, the one they had carefully nurtured with love, had apparently fallen apart in an instant.
With trembling hands, Lyra quickly replied.
Lyra: Break up? Why? Give me a reason why we have to break up. Did I do something wrong? Come on, let's fix this together.
A few moments later, another notification chimed.
Arga: I'm sorry. You didn't do anything wrong, but we really can't keep this going.
After reading that last message, Lyra immediately tried calling Arga. But the reality she faced was far more painful. She had been blocked everywhere.
Lyra cried her heart out. Thousands of questions filled her mind.
What did I do wrong? Why did he leave? Why did he give up so easily?
After breaking up with Arga, Lyra chose to withdraw from the outside world. She spent her days shut inside her room, accompanied by the thousands of memories they had created together.
Lyra's days felt so lonely. It was completely different from before, when her world seemed to revolve around Arga.
To let all her feelings out, Lyra began writing about Arga on her social media account. She poured all her longing, disappointment, and grief into strings of words.
Two months passed.
Little by little, Lyra began trying to get back on her feet. She worked up the courage to step outside her comfort zone and live her life as she had before.
She started uploading new photos to social media. Unexpectedly, a flood of responses came in. Some simply complimented her beauty, while others invited her to get acquainted.
Lyra only smiled as she read each incoming message.
Among all the chats, her eyes settled on a message tucked away in her archived folder.
"P."
Curious, Lyra opened the sender's profile. The profile picture showed a man wearing a helmet, so his face was completely hidden. He was an incredibly mysterious figure.
For some reason, Lyra decided to reply.
Lyra: Hey.
It didn't take long for a reply to arrive.
Galaksi: Can we get to know each other?
Lyra smiled faintly.
Lyra: Sure.
Galaksi: Who am I talking to?
Lyra: Lyra Vega Anara. Just call me Lyra. I live in Tangerang. What about you?
Galaksi: I'm Galaksi Sagara Altair. Just call me Galaksi. Oh, Tangerang? I've been there before.
Lyra: Oh, yeah? What area?
Galaksi: Somewhere around there, hahaha.
Lyra: Ugh, that's so vague.
Their conversation continued. Before they knew it, the clock showed midnight.
Lyra: I'm sleepy, Galaksi. I'm going to bed first, okay?
Galaksi: Okay, Lyra. Good night. See you tomorrow, okay?
Lyra smiled before turning off her phone screen. For the first time in a long while, she felt that someone had managed to make her smile again.
The next morning, Lyra woke up. With her eyes still half-open, she reached for the phone lying beside her pillow. Ten notifications from the social app she had used the night before were visible on the screen.
Curious, Lyra opened it right away. As it turned out, all the messages were from Galaksi.
**Galaksi:**
> *Good morning, Lyra.*
> *You must still be asleep.*
> *Lyraaa, wake uppp.*
> *Lyraaa, it's already afternoon.*
Hello > *Where are you going today?*
> *Lyraaa.*
> *Helloo.*
> *Excuse me.* > *Hey, wake uppp!*
> *Wake uppp, hee... There might be a raid, hurry up and wake up!*
A faint smile spread across Lyra's face.
*"This guy is so weird,"* she murmured softly.
She replied to the messages.
**Lyra:**
> *Yeah, Galaksi. Sorry, I just woke up. I'm planning to go to the hospital for a follow-up appointment today. What kind of raid is there, anyway?*
It didn't take long for Galaksi's reply to appear.
**Galaksi:**
> *Geez, it's already seven. The hospital? Who's sick? Want me to take you? And as for the raid... it's a raid for pretty girls. Since you're pretty. Hahaha.*
Lyra smiled without realizing it as she read the message.
**Lyra:**
> *I'm just going for a follow-up appointment. Are you free?*
**Galaksi:**
> *Yeah, I'm free. I'll keep you company.*
**Lyra:**
> *Sure. Let's meet at the hospital, okay? I need to get ready first.*
**Galaksi:**
> *Okay, then. See you, beautiful.*
Lyra shook her head slightly with a smile.
*"He probably won't even show up. And even if he does, he'll probably end up ghosting me anyway."* She quietly chuckled at her own thoughts.
Lyra got ready to head to the hospital. For some reason, that morning she found herself having trouble choosing an outfit. Her only destination was the doctor for a follow-up appointment, not a date.
After opening her closet several times, she finally chose a pink blouse paired with jeans. She also applied simple makeup that made her look fresh.
Before leaving, Lyra went to her mother, who was in the dining room.
"Mom, do I look pretty yet?" she asked with an embarrassed smile.
Her mother looked Lyra up and down, then gave her a mischievous smile.
"Well, this is unusual. All dressed up for once. Going out while you're at it?"
Lyra slowly shook her head.
"No, Mom. It's just... I'm meeting a guy later. His name is Galaksi."
"What, your new boyfriend is picking you up?" her mother teased.
"No, Mom. We only met online last night. Honestly, I'm kind of nervous because we've never met in person."
Her mother smiled warmly, then gently patted her daughter's shoulder.
"Well, give getting to know him a try. Maybe he's a good person. So you've already forgotten about Arga, huh?" she said with a quiet laugh.
"Oh, Mom..." Lyra replied, her cheeks beginning to turn red.
Lyra then picked up her bag.
"Okay, Mom, I'm leaving now. I'll be late."
"Be careful on the way," her mother said.
Lyra nodded, then stepped out of the house with a feeling she couldn't explain. For the first time in a long while, she felt a little excited to meet someone.
