Kaelum kept closing the distance, cutting through every inch of air between them before wrapping his strong arm around Aphrodite's waist. He pulled the silver-haired fairy against his chest until their bodies fit perfectly together.
At Gerbang Para Dewa—the prince's favorite place, where ancient magic danced through the air—Aphrodite gave him her first kiss. Heat immediately spread across her cheeks as Kaelum's lips gently brushed hers, gradually caressing and sucking them, surrounding her with an intoxicating sweetness.
The beautiful magic radiating around them seemed to bear silent witness to the sweet memory etched forever into Aphrodite's mind.
"Let's go home," Kaelum whispered. His long fingers tucked the strand of silver hair that had fallen across his wife's beautiful face behind her ear.
Aphrodite could only give a small nod, holding back the pounding in her chest as it grew wilder and more uncontrollable.
When they mounted the dragon again, their positions had been reversed. Aphrodite now sat in front, while Kaelum held her tightly from behind. Loving gazes and the glow of happiness surrounded them both, radiating the aura of a perfectly matched couple above the vast sky of Dravaryn.
Kaelum lowered his head, his whisper brushing against Aphrodite's ear amid the roar of the wind rushing past them. "Aphrodite... what if you slept in my room tonight?" Aphrodite held her breath for a moment, then slowly nodded her consent.
At her answer, Kaelum tightened his embrace around her stomach. As the dragon began diving through the clouds, Kaelum pressed a warm kiss to the hollow of Aphrodite's neck. Aphrodite squeezed her eyes shut, savoring the gentle shiver that spread throughout her body.
Meanwhile, down in the palace courtyard, King Vaelric crossed his arms over his chest. His eyes followed the dragon's increasingly close flight path, and a meaningful, faint smile curved his lips.
"Now I no longer wonder why Kaelum didn't resist at all when the gods asked him to marry Aphrodite," Vaelric said warmly.
"All men are the same. They're always so quick to kneel before a beautiful woman," Queen Elyndra replied from beside him. Her voice was cold, wrapped in sarcasm she made no effort to hide. "Especially since Aphrodite is the most beautiful woman in the Fairy Clan—even in all of Elythera."
Elyndra shifted her gaze toward the magnificent palace towers, her eyes growing heavy. "Freya is no less graceful. Her powerful magic would be far more capable of supporting Kaelum's position on the throne in the future. I still can't understand why that boy agreed to this wedding so quickly."
Vaelric chuckled softly and patted the queen's shoulder to reassure her. "Enough. Let him be. What matters is that Kaelum will soon fulfill his duty as a husband. We only need to wait for the next heir to the throne."
