The Dark Realm – The Never-Ending Mansion
Chapter 1: The Call of the Dark Night (Part 3)
The four friends stood in complete silence.
No one dared to speak.
The diary remained open in Sizububu's trembling hands.
The warning echoed in their minds.
"Never answer when something inside this mansion calls your name."
For a few moments...
Nothing happened.
Then...
A familiar voice echoed from the upper floor.
"Moco..."
It sounded exactly like his mother.
Every word...
Every tone...
Every pause...
It was impossible to tell the difference.
Moco looked toward the staircase.
"Mom...?"
He took a step forward.
Sizububu grabbed his arm immediately.
"Stop!"
"The diary warned us."
Moco closed his eyes and slowly stepped back.
A few seconds later...
Another voice echoed through the mansion.
"Tofu..."
This time...
It sounded exactly like his father.
"Please... help me..."
Tofu's eyes filled with tears.
He almost answered.
But he remembered the warning.
He stayed silent.
The mansion became completely still.
Then...
A deafening scream exploded through the corridors.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!
The walls trembled.
Dust rained from the ceiling.
Every window in the mansion burst open at once.
A freezing wind rushed inside.
The flashlight beams flickered wildly.
Suddenly...
Rizu noticed someone standing at the far end of the hallway.
The figure was nearly eight feet tall.
Its entire body was covered by a long black robe.
Its face remained hidden beneath darkness.
Slowly...
The figure raised one hand.
It pointed toward the darkness behind it.
Without speaking...
It made only one gesture.
"Come."
The four friends remained frozen.
No one moved.
Then...
The figure disappeared.
Gone.
Without making a sound.
Sizububu slowly turned around.
His heart nearly stopped.
For a split second...
The black figure was standing directly behind them.
He blinked.
It was gone again.
Only silence remained.
Or perhaps...
Something even worse than silence.
The hallway walls were covered with old family portraits.
One by one...
The painted eyes inside every portrait began moving.
They were watching the four friends.
One portrait showed a family of six.
As they stared...
The faces inside the painting slowly melted away.
New faces appeared.
Sizububu.
Moco.
Tofu.
Rizu.
The painting now looked exactly like a family portrait of the four friends.
Rizu stepped backward in horror.
"We have to get out of here!"
The four friends started running.
They ran as fast as they could.
But something was terribly wrong.
The hallway never ended.
Every time they thought they had reached the end...
It became even longer.
Their breathing grew heavier.
Their legs felt weak.
Finally...
A wooden door appeared ahead.
Sizububu rushed toward it and pushed it open.
The four friends stumbled inside.
They looked around.
Then...
Every one of them froze.
In the center of the room...
Four ancient coffins stood side by side.
Each coffin had a name carved into its lid.
Sizububu
Moco
Tofu
Rizu
Without anyone touching them...
The lids slowly began to open.
Creeeeaaak...
And whatever lay inside...
Was waiting for them.
