Chapter 8: Tracks That Choose a Direction

🔒 This chapter is locked · 20 Quills

Caver Senja Adira finds an old Dutch map pointing to Luweng Ombo in Pacitan, with a hint about the Guardian Spring, a Majapahit relic reportedly sealed deep underground to keep its power from the wrong hands. With Oscar and Ucok, Senja descends into the cave, only to learn others are hunting the relic too. Among them is Sophia Adriana, a Dutch woman bearing the same symbol as the map and hiding secrets about her ancestor's expedition. The farther they go, the stranger things get: water flowing in ways it shouldn't, voices echoing down empty tunnels, and the feeling of something watching from the dark. Amid the mystery and fear, Senja's distrust of Sophia gradually becomes love. Yet the nearer they come to the Guardian Spring, the more it seems Sophia isn't after the relic at all, but something far more precious to her.
