For the past two days, Rami had spent her time at home waiting for notification of whether she had been accepted by Stellar Entertainment. During that time, she kept herself busy studying, sleeping, watching dramas, and rewatching nearly every video about Starlight.
One word for her room right now: filthy.
Tissues were scattered everywhere because she had cried while watching.
There was one new thing in her life: she had never felt this free in her entire life. Apparently, being unemployed wasn't so bad.
"I'm getting bored, too," she muttered.
So she turned to the task that had been her main goal ever since she became certain she'd returned to the past—writing down every bad thing that had happened to Starlight, complete with the dates and years. As if she were making a list of the world's sins that she had to cleanse.
Rami was fully prepared to change everything, no matter the risk. This world had already begun changing since her return, and she would keep protecting those changes.
She stretched, feeling sore from sitting for too long. Her gaze swept across every corner of the room, and only then did she realize how filthy it was. Unable to stand it, she immediately cleaned it.
Half an hour later, the room was clean and tidy again.
Her stomach began to growl, so she headed to the kitchen to cook something: kimchi fried rice.
While she was cooking, her phone rang several times. Since it was getting too annoying, she checked it. There was a message from Aluna, a phone call from her mother, and ... an email.
Rami opened the email in a hurry.
"Aaaah!" She covered her mouth in shock. Her eyes widened as she read the words in the email. Her hands trembled as she traced each sentence.
"We hereby inform you that you, Ramiela Shinsen, have been accepted as an artist management staff member at Stellar Entertainment."
She'd been accepted. She'd really been accepted!
"Aluna!"
Silence. She was the only one home.
Only now did she realize that Aluna often came home late—sometimes almost at midnight. Back then, she had never cared. Now, she was worried instead. A girl coming home late was dangerous, wasn't it?
"Should I go meet her?" she muttered as she stirred the rice in the pan.
She couldn't wait to tell Aluna the good news, either.
As if answering her thoughts, another message from Aluna appeared.
> "Ram, I'm coming home kind of late, okay? Last-minute deadline."
Rami added more rice to the serving. Today, they would eat together at the Stellar building.
At nine that night, she stood in front of the Stellar building. The building looked darker because many of the lights had already been turned off. Only a few remained on. She quickly went inside.
But after only a few steps—slam! A door opening from inside hit her forehead hard.
"Ow!" Rami clutched her forehead, which throbbed painfully.
"Are you ... okay?"
A man's voice. Gentle. It made her heart tremble.
"Your forehead's turning red," another man added.
Rami lifted her face. It was Juna and Ricky. She wanted to get angry, but they were her idols. Besides, she wanted to make a good first impression.
"Why are you standing around here?" Binero raised one eyebrow when he saw Rami.
"Ah! You're that pathetic woman." Binero's hand instinctively pointed at Rami.
"What?" Rami swallowed hard.
The six people in front of her—her idols—were looking at her from this close. Still, her heart felt a little tight because of what Binero had just said. She knew—she knew very well—that Binero was a little blunt, but ...
"Are you okay?" This time, Wooan asked gently.
Rami stretched both hands out in front of her to stop Wooan from coming closer. "I'm fine."
"We ... we're sorry," Ricky said.
Sanhadi stayed silent, reading the situation. Juna and Jinren bowed slightly, feeling guilty.
Rami nodded, then reached for the doorknob. She was about to go inside, but stopped.
"Pathetic? Who's more pathetic?" she said sarcastically.
Then she left.
Binero rubbed his neck. He hadn't meant it seriously; it had just slipped out because of his first impression when he saw the girl—as if she were carrying some kind of wound.
Wooan smacked Binero's arm hard enough to teach him a lesson. If he said something like that to another member, it wouldn't hurt. But it was different with someone else.
