Chapter 17: Dry Etchings

🔒 This chapter is locked · 20 Quills

Buried under fifteen overdue reports and the endless roar of city traffic, Arka is one honk away from breaking. Then he finds his grandfather's old notebook describing Velvetide, a magical thirty-day season when the ground turns to velvet-soft moss, nights grow warm and time itself slows down. Following its pages to a quiet hillside village, Arka discovers glass lakes, kalimba chimes, persimmon pies and kind neighbors like Lily, and a gentler way of living he never knew he needed.
