Threads of a Mother's Love tells of a warm, comfortable family whose fortunes change overnight when the head of the household, the children's father, suddenly dies. The dream he and his wife once shared of building a happy home is cut short by his loss, and matters only grow worse when the wife, who has always stayed home raising the children, finds she cannot keep his business running. The business collapses soon after, and the family sinks into poverty, life growing harder with no father left in the house. This is where the real story begins. Emak, now an inexperienced single mother, tries launching a new business, searches for work, and even considers becoming a domestic worker abroad. Though her road is hard and full of unexpected turns, she meets every obstacle with strength and patience while raising her three children with boundless love and tenderness. Part of Emak's spirit was buried alongside her husband, while the rest lives on in her children, in whom she pins her greatest hope: that they will grow into honorable people who can restore the family's dignity, a hope she repeats, without fail, in prayer five times a day.
