Through the Wall — a five-chapter horror thriller collection that follows, with careful precision, how Wei Chen's obsessive need for order is taken apart bit by bit by the noises seeping through the wall and the memories that will not stay hidden. Through the Wall — When the Stronghold of Logic Is Broken by Whatever Waits on the Other Side Wei Chen has always relied on a software engineer's logic to hold the world at a safe distance. He believes that order brings peace. Then the wall starts making noises. The terror of Through the Wall is not just what hides in the building — it is the breakdown happening within: When memory becomes the hunter: the yellow light that never fully slips beneath the door, his father's hand hot with fever, and somewhere within, a voice that ought to be familiar yet now belongs to a stranger — Wei, come back. When reality loses its borders: the scent of dried flowers opening something he cannot name, a dream of three place settings seeping into waking life, a world unraveling where order once held firm. The deepest terror: when the puzzle is at last complete and the single piece that matters most is missing. When the noises behind the wall fall silent, what takes their place is a silence more smothering than any sound. Five chapters. One psychological fall from order into ruin. In the end, he cooks a pot of rice the way his mother once did. A faint curve lifts the corner of his mouth. He waits, quietly, for the next person to be called. This is horror with no tidy answer.
