## Chapter 1: The Beginning
Rara and Dinda had been best friends since they were still wearing elementary school uniforms. They grew up together in the same neighborhood, shared packed lunches, studied together at the village library, and promised they would always support each other, no matter what happened.
Until Arga came along.
Arga was a young man who had moved from a big city and was living with his grandmother, who grew tea on a mountain slope. He was quiet, but his eyes were always full of curiosity. The first time they met was when Arga got lost on the bamboo forest trail where Rara and Dinda often played.
Cheerful Rara immediately greeted him and invited him to walk with them. Calm Dinda only watched in silence, secretly holding on to her admiration for the honesty in Arga's gaze.
## Chapter 2: Feelings Left Unspoken
As time passed, Arga's presence brought a new color to all three of their lives. They often walked along the Serayu River, sat together watching the sunset from Karangreja Hill, or simply shared stories on Dinda's front porch.
Rara began to feel that something was different every time Arga smiled at her. Her heart pounded whenever their hands accidentally touched. But Rara never dared to tell the truth because she was afraid of ruining the friendship they had built over so many years.
Meanwhile, Dinda secretly harbored the same feelings. She often prepared Arga's favorite food without telling him who had made it, or lent him books he liked, pretending it was only a coincidence. Dinda knew Rara liked him too, but she couldn't bring herself to extinguish the feelings that had grown so deep inside her.
Arga himself never realized how they felt. To him, Rara was the light that brightened his solitude, while Dinda was where he felt calm and understood. He didn't know whom to choose because he didn't want to hurt either of them.
## Chapter 3: At the Crossroads
Word came that Arga had to return to the city to continue college. On the night of their farewell, the sky was filled with stars, yet the atmosphere felt unbearably heavy.
Rara finally found the courage to speak first.
“Arga, I don't want you to leave without knowing… that I love you.”
Dinda, who heard this, fell silent for a moment as tears slowly slipped down her cheeks.
“Me too, Arga. Ever since the first time we met…”
Silence fell over the three of them. Arga looked from one best friend to the other, his heart feeling split in two.
“You two are the most beautiful part of my life here,” Arga said softly. “But I realize affection should never hurt each other. Wherever I go, our friendship will never disappear.”
## Final Chapter: Lessons from the Heart
Three years later, Arga returned to his hometown. He did not come back with a decision to choose one of them. Instead, he brought with him the understanding that love doesn't always mean having someone.
Rara and Dinda were still best friends, even though wounds had once been carved into their hearts. They learned that a love triangle wasn't about who won or lost, but about how to respect other people's feelings without forgetting yourself.
Beneath the tree where they used to take shelter, the three of them sat together again. There were no forced sweet promises, only gratitude for having met one another and filled each other's lives.
