Alya sat down slowly.
Rania placed the envelope on the table.
"Arga and I aren't dating."
Alya fell silent.
"Then?"
Rania took a breath.
"I used to like him."
Arga lowered his head.
"But that was a long time ago."
Alya looked from one of them to the other.
"Why do I need to know?"
Rania answered softly.
"Because Arga once asked me for help."
"Help?"
Arga finally spoke.
"I once asked Rania about you."
Alya froze.
"About me?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
Arga looked nervous.
"Because I didn't know how to approach you."
Alya didn't know how to respond.
Rania smiled.
"Arga likes you."
Alya's heart seemed to stop.
But Arga quickly said,
"Rania!"
"What? You've been quiet for too long."
Alya stared at Arga.
"Is that true?"
Arga didn't answer.
He only looked at Alya with an unreadable expression.
A few seconds later, he said,
"I really do like you."
Alya swallowed.
"Since when?"
"Since that rainy day."
Alya smiled softly.
"But why didn't you ever tell me?"
Arga sighed.
"Because I was afraid."
"Afraid of what?"
"That you didn't feel the same way."
Alya lowered her head.
For the first time, the feelings she'd kept hidden for so long felt close enough to reveal.
But suddenly, Arga's phone rang.
He looked at the screen.
His expression changed.
"I have to go."
"Now?"
Arga stood up.
"I'm sorry."
Alya watched him walk out.
Rania remained silent.
"What's wrong?" Alya asked.
Rania stared at the door.
"It seems you don't know yet."
"Know what?"
Rania took a deep breath.
"Arga is leaving this city."
