Beyond the Veil of Rebirth

My name is Nirwana. I just moved to Niskala, an old city almost always shrouded in fog. They say it’s beautiful. Its ancient buildings are enchanting, its streets are steeped in history, and its residents are friendly. At least, that’s what people say. To me, Niskala feels different. Ever since I was little, I’ve been able to see things ordinary people can’t. Creatures that shouldn’t exist. Shadows that move on their own. Figures that only appear when night falls. I’m used to it. I just never expected Niskala to make everything so much worse.
