Rise of the Bear

Quentin is seventeen. He's slim, soft-spoken, and much too gentle for a world that never repays gentleness. They call him “Bear” to ridicule him—a cruel label for a boy who is nothing like a predator. Until an attack leaves him for dead. On the brink of death, an unknown System awakens inside him. A System that feeds on his hatred, every blow he has taken since childhood, every betrayal. The more he suffers, the stronger he grows. And the stronger he grows, the more he loses of what made him a good person. In a Hidden World where the strong crush the weak and betrayal is the law, Quentin will rise through the ranks at a frightening pace. And the nickname meant as a joke will become the last thing his enemies ever hear. The Bear has awoken. And it's hungry.
