When the Aether Awakens

“The light he once looked up to burned his world to ashes with its own hands.” Fifteen-year-old Jayne dreams of joining the Order of Holy Knights, an organization that symbolizes justice and glory. Yet on the day he comes of age, the heroes he idolizes mercilessly destroy his hometown, Fran Village, and even take away his uncle, the man he sees as a father. Amid the ruins where despair and rage intertwine, Jayne awakens an extremely rare power: Fire Elemental Magic, a mighty force that should have only one inheritor. This strange power not only makes him a target of the Order of Holy Knights, but also brings him into contact with Lyra, a mysterious swordswoman, and Kareliel, a Wind Elementalist who likewise bears a blood feud over the destruction of his village.
