Ara Veyl gets through the Imperial Magic Academy by staying forgettable, a commoner extra carrying a broken Support System that only sends useless warnings. Then Kael Eiren, the Academy Prince fated to become a world ending villain, transfers into her class, and his affection reading glitches far past the system's limit. He confronts her about a promise she cannot remember, drags her into rumors she cannot afford, and looks at her as if losing her has already ruined him. Ara assumes she is simply trapped in a fake engagement with a future tyrant. Kael knows something far worse: he has lived this life a hundred times before, and this time he intends to save her, even if love has to become a cage.
