It had been raining since the afternoon that Saturday.
Andi sat alone in a small café on a street corner downtown. An open laptop sat in front of him, untouched for the past twenty minutes.
He spent more time watching the rain through the window.
Then, all of a sudden, someone hurried past and accidentally bumped into Andi’s laptop, sliding it across the table.
“Sorry...”
The voice made Andi turn.
A young woman stood beside his table, pressing her hands together as she begged for forgiveness.
Her hair was slightly messy and damp from the rain.
“Is this seat still open?”
Andi looked at the chair across from him.
“It is.”
The woman smiled.
“Thank you.”
She sat down.
Simple.
There was no romantic music.
Nothing extraordinary happened.
There was no lightning strike like in the movies.
Just two strangers who happened to sit at the same table because the café was full.
Her name was Indri.
And Andi had no idea that from that afternoon on, his life would never truly be the same.
