After that, the mysterious man treated all the wounds Liana had suffered in the dream. He only had to gently brush his hand over each injured area, and the wounds healed without leaving a trace.
Only then did Liana regain consciousness and realize she was in the emergency room.
“Dad, what happened?” Debi asked when she returned to Liana’s hospital room.
“I don’t know what really happened to your sister!”
Debi furrowed her brow. “What do you mean, Dad?” she asked in confusion.
“Take a look. The wounds that were all over Liana’s body earlier have completely disappeared without a trace.”
Debi walked over to Liana and began examining every wound on her little sister’s body. After checking them, Debi was just as shocked as their parents. She felt that something beyond reason was happening to Liana.
Debi couldn’t say a word. All she could do was stare at Liana’s face, which looked so pale and exhausted.
“Did you make an appointment with the psychiatrist?” Denis asked, breaking the silence.
At the word psychiatrist, Liana turned to look at Denis.
“A psychiatrist? Who’s going to see a psychiatrist?” Liana asked, confused.
Everyone fell silent. Not one of them dared to answer her.
“Answer me, Dad! Who’s going to see a psychiatrist?”
“Calm down, sweetheart! Your dad didn’t mean anything by it. We just want to consult one about the problem you’re dealing with,” Rinjani said gently.
“What for, Mom? I’m not crazy! I’m perfectly fine!”
“Yes, I know, honey. Not everyone who sees a psychiatrist is crazy! Will you please talk to one? Just this once, honey. I’m begging you.”
Feeling that there was nothing she could do, Liana finally agreed to Rinjani’s request. She was also curious about the problem she was facing.
Was everything that had happened to her really just a coincidence, or had it all actually happened because of her hallucinations?
Morning arrived, and today was the day Liana was scheduled to see the psychiatrist. She arrived and entered the counseling room with mixed feelings.
Liana went through a series of questions and tests during the counseling session. She also told the psychiatrist about the dream she had experienced. However, after everything was assessed, Liana was declared mentally healthy. There was nothing wrong with her psychological state.
After that, Liana also underwent a physical examination by a doctor. The results were the same: there was no indication of any illness in her body.
Finally, Liana and her family were able to breathe a sigh of relief. After making sure Liana was all right, they decided to return home.
Before Liana left the hospital, however, the nurses who had cared for her exchanged theories about the mysterious disappearance of the wounds on her body.
The wounds had looked extremely serious before. Who would have thought they would vanish without a trace in the blink of an eye? That was why the nurses who had treated Liana whispered among themselves and came up with all kinds of strange theories.
“How are you feeling now, Li?” Rinjani asked as they drove home.
“I’m fine, Mom! When we get home, can I go to Ami’s house?”
“Don’t you want to rest first?” Rinjani asked.
“No need, Mom. I’ve been resting all day! I need to send in my college application form soon.”
“All right, then ask your sister to take you, okay?”
Liana nodded, then rested her head against the car window. She gazed blankly at the scenery outside, her mind exhausted from constantly thinking about everything that had happened beyond her control.
‘What’s going to happen next?’ Liana wondered. She had completely resigned herself to it all and was trying to accept everything with an open heart.
