“Wait here for a bit, Li. I need to go make a photocopy of this. Or do you want to come with me?” Ami said.
“I’ll just wait here, Mi. I’m still tired from all that running earlier,” Liana replied as she lay down.
“Oh, okay then. I’ll be right back!”
“Okay!”
After Ami left, Liana closed her eyes again. Her body felt so exhausted that she quickly grew sleepy.
Then, once Liana had fallen deeply asleep, she dreamed once more that she was in Ether Valley. This time, she dreamed of visiting a flower garden. The garden contained only one kind of flower—one with a beautiful color and an intensely sweet fragrance.
“Wow, what a beautiful flower is this? I’ve never seen anything this gorgeous before,” Liana murmured.
Liana happily wandered around the flower field, a smile etched across her face as she inhaled the sweet fragrance from each flower one by one.
“I really want to take it back to the real world. This flower would definitely become the most beautiful flower ever.”
“Take it with you! That flower will be very useful in helping you there!” said the man who always appeared in Liana’s dreams. He appeared so suddenly that Liana was startled.
This time, Liana gathered the courage to ask about the man’s identity. “Who are you, really? Why do you always appear in my dreams?” Liana asked.
“My name is Razel. Don’t you remember that name, Lianka?” Razel answered gently.
“I’m not Lianka. I’m Liana! Why do you always call me that?” Liana snapped, annoyed.
“So you really don’t remember me?” Razel said sadly.
“Why would I remember you? We’ve never met before. This is just a dream, and you’re not real!” Liana replied curtly.
Rather than getting angry, Razel felt sad that Liana did not remember all the memories they had shared.
“Enough. Give me that flower!” Razel ordered.
“What for? You said I could take it with me.” Instinctively, Liana hid the flower behind her back.
“I’m not going to take it! Just give it to me for a moment!”
Hesitantly, Liana handed Razel one of the flowers she had picked earlier.
In an instant, Razel transformed the flower into a necklace. Its pendant was made from the flower petals Liana had given him.
The necklace was incredibly beautiful. The flower petals were encased in an extremely hard crystal layer, making them impossible to damage easily.
Razel had deliberately made Liana a necklace with a pendant made from a Goddess’s Light flower so it could protect her while she was in the human world.
The necklace could protect Liana from evil energy, making it difficult for the creatures that might come to harm her again to attack her.
“Here, take it. Wear this necklace wherever you go!” Razel said.
“Wow, it’s so beautiful,” Liana murmured in awe. She was so captivated that she completely ignored what Razel had said.
“Listen to me, Lianka!”
“I’m Liana! Not Lianka,” Liana retorted.
“All right! Listen to me, Liana. You have to wear this necklace wherever you go. I can’t always come to save you!” Razel said.
‘So he was the one who came to help me earlier,’ Liana thought.
“All right! I’ll always wear it,” Liana replied as she clasped the necklace around her neck.
“Want me to help?” Razel offered.
“No need. I can do it myself!” Liana answered, still speaking curtly.
“See? I can put on this necklace without your help!”
Razel only smiled at Liana’s words. “In that case, you can return to your world now!”
“Um... can I take one more flower with me? You already turned the first one into a necklace, even though I really wanted to take it back to my world and plant it.”
“Hahaha, take one. But you can’t just plant it normally!” Razel said, laughing fondly at Liana’s antics.
“Then how do I do it?”
“Put the flower in a container filled with water from the sacred lake. It can only survive in water from Ether Valley,” Razel explained.
Liana felt sad for a moment, realizing that she probably could never obtain water from the sacred lake. But Razel had already held out a container filled with water from it.
“Take this! And hurry back to your world!”
