One day, Genji, Yogi, and Haikal were taking their grade-promotion exams, moving from their second year to their third year at vocational high school. The room was filled with cheating. The teacher realized they were cheating, so they were sentenced to stand on one leg and salute the flagpole. “Genji!!! Haikal!!! Yogi!!! You guys are always cheating. Aren’t you sick of standing out in the sun on the school field all the time, huh?” the teacher said. But instead of being afraid, they had gotten used to it and carried out their punishment as casually as ever. Ever since they first enrolled at the school, they had been used to troublemaking and getting punished together. While they were being punished, they talked and reminisced about all the trouble they had gotten into in the past. “Yog!! Kal!! How many times have we been punished like this? After finishing their punishment, they went to the school balcony to take in the view and talk about their friendship. They promised they would never be separated. “Yog! Kal! Promise me you two won’t leave me behind. I already consider you guys my own siblings,” Genji said. “Take it easy, Gen. We’re friends forever. Even if we end up going our separate ways, we’ll still be brothers. Don’t worry, right, Yog?” Haikal said. “Agreed. Through good times and bad, we’ll always stick together and help each other. May God give us good health so we can always stay together,” Yogi said. “Aaaamen,” they said together. Then they put their arms around one another and gazed up at the clear sky.
