Chapter 5
Orika stretched his hand and tugged on Nir's sleeve, which made Nir glance at Orika.
“What happened, Orika?“
“Don't you think that dude is strange? Is he a high-ranking Slasher or something? And why is he wearing clothes like that?“
Nir didn't have answers to these questions either, because he knew nothing about Blue other than his name.
As they moved forward, they suddenly saw a resort in front of them. It was beautiful, like they had come for a vacation in a jungle with a beautiful resort.
The resort had three floors with rich colors painted on the walls. It looked like one of those aesthetic resort types. But it was strange that they had found such a beautiful resort here in the middle of the jungle.
"Mother Fisher's, what's this? Is this for us so that we can rest here? I have never seen something like this before, though," Orika said as he moved forward toward the resort.
Blue stands there, glancing around, while Nir and Orika step forward to open the door. But before they could touch the door, it was opened from the inside. A lady was standing there. She was wearing a sweater and long pants, and her hair was tied in a ponytail on top of her head.
She smiled warmly, looking at them as she bowed. “Welcome to our Slashers resort.”
Hearing this, Orika's eyes shine, and she continues to give them details. This place was created inside the gate by some high-ranking Slashers so that other Slashers who have come here will have a place to stay. And there are low-level monsters here too.
But Nir couldn't digest this because what that lady was saying wasn't making any sense. As he heard this, he knew that gates are created by powerful beings, so how did high-ranking Slashers manage to create this resort here? And even if we assume that those high-ranking Slashers defeated the owner of the gate.
Shouldn't the gate disappear as soon as the owner dies? So many questions were in Nir's mind. When he glanced ahead, he saw Orika had already gone inside with that lady.
“Orika, wait! Don't go!” Nir shouted, but just then, the door had already closed.
Nir rushed ahead and tried to open the door, which opened right away. When he looked inside, there was no one there. He glanced back and saw Blue standing there, staring at the roof of the resort.
"Blue, why didn't you stop Orika from going inside with that lady?"
"You didn't do it yourself, so don't blame me. It's good that noisy person went in; now it's all peace and quiet."
Nir wasn't happy hearing this. He gritted his teeth and turned toward the door, stepping inside in a hurry. As he stepped in, he saw everything was so big from inside. When he went a little further ahead, he saw the corridor leading to the main counter table, which was empty.
"Orika….where are you…..Orika?“ Nir was calling Orika's name, hoping Orika was safe and would reply.
But no matter how much Nir called for Orika, no reply came. In fact, it didn't even feel like there was anyone else there other than Nir himself. It was so quiet now.
“Don't tell me that woman was the creator of this gate.“ Nir clenched his fist while glancing around. “It's my fault; if I hadn't been lost in thought, then this wouldn't have happened.“
Nir was very good at blaming himself, and that's what he was doing right now. He kept checking all the rooms again and again, even though he didn't find anyone. With every passing second, the guilt pressed him hard, making him realize that Orika disappeared with that woman because of him.
Just then, Nir heard footsteps behind him. When he glanced around, Blue was standing there.
“Blue!” Nir called out.
"Yes, but why are you so shocked, and did you find that little larva? It's not even a day since I got my freedom, and here I am babysitting this brat," Blue said casually.
But Nir was happy seeing Blue inside. "You are also worried about Orika; that's why you have come inside, I know."
Blue made an unbelievable face because he hadn't expected that Nir would think positively, which was weird.
Just then, Blue noticed that the walls' colors were changing. They were yellow when he came inside, but now they were turning black. He moved ahead and pressed his palm against the wall.
As he did, he felt some energy running into the wall, which was so strong that he immediately removed his hand.
Nir also stepped forward and touched the wall like Blue did. “Is something wrong with the walls?” he asked.
Blue grabbed Nir's collar from behind, quickly pulling him back and throwing him to the ground. Nir was confused as to why Blue had done that. Still, he stood up while brushing off his clothes.
“You should have just told me with your mouth that the walls were dangerous; there was no need to pull me and throw me like this. I am a living human, Blue,” Nir whined.
Nir looks at Blue, who was looking around. Just then, the same lady who had taken Orika with her was standing behind Blue.
Seeing her, Blue turns around. "Interesting. You are really like a human, but I can't see what you really are. Let's see who has more power, you or me."
She smiled, moving forward to Blue. Her laugh was soft.
"I don't understand what you are talking about, but you are handsome. That's why I won't kill you. So, do you want to mate with me?"
Blue, step back. He was looking at that lady with a disgusting face and disgusting eyes.
"Ew! I wouldn't even touch you, let alone mate with you. And what are you? An animal? Why are you talking about mating? If you are in heat, just go and find yourself a dog, ugly woman."
Nir was shocked to hear this, because looking at that woman, he knew that she had taken Orika with her. However, she looked human from every angle, and she was even beautiful.
Nir didn't understand why Blue was calling her ugly and saying that she was not human.
Still, Nir stood there without saying anything, and Blue stepped directly in front of Nir, blocking his view. Nir peeked out to look at the woman, who was standing there, touching her cheek.
