# Chapter 9
But Liya's eyes were on Nir as he was checking something.
And one by one, those boys gave everyone their fair share, ensuring everyone got some. And when Nir was about to eat, he realized Blue hadn't come to eat with them, which is why Blue's portion remained in the pot.
Nir put down his bowl, and as he was about to stand up, Liya grabbed the bowl containing the remaining pasta and took it into her own bowl. She even ate a bite from it.
Nir was shocked to see that his eyes were only on her. And she also noticed that, so she quickly covered her mouth.
“Oh myyy….I am sorry, I had taken my portion once, but I took twice since I was hungry. I didn't do anything wrong, right?“ she asked.
“No, you didn't. You can take mine too if you are not full,” another guy said.
And everyone had the same opinion as those guys, which Nir found hard to believe. But he just can't blame Liya just for eating twice. He stood up, taking his bowl and garlic bread.
As he left, everyone's attention turned to him, and they saw Blue sitting there while Nir approached him.
“Yes, we didn't give a meal to that guy, did we? That last portion was his,” Orika said while eating.
Hearing him, everyone exchanged glances. Just then, Liya covered her eyes with both hands and started to sob.
“I am such a terrible leader. How could I forget about that guy and eat his portion? I don't deserve to be a leader at all. I am bad,” she sobbed badly.
Other members began to comfort her, saying it wasn't her fault. Blue should have come if he wanted to eat. And they placed the blame on Blue, of course. It wasn't Liya's fault, that's what they told her.
Liya wiped her eyes, hearing all of them, even the town's women who were there. They were also comforting her.
“Guys, thank you so much. Now that you all have said this, I think it's not my—” Before she could complete her sentence, Orika said.
"Well, you know, that Blue guy is so poor. I saw him before coming here; he was a cosplayer performing on the street. I even gave him a large sum of money," Orika said, chewing for a few seconds.
Everyone's attention was on him, even Liya was looking at him.
"And when we came here, there were so many big monsters, and Blue saved us. He was a kind guy. I'm shocked that our leader, Liya, forgot about him and ate his portion too. I am kind of feeling bad for that guy, but leader, I'm not trying to blame you though."
Once he finished talking, his whole attention shifted to the food. But now, everyone was looking at Liya and Blue.
Liya clenched her thighs tightly while staring at Blue and Nir.
And when Nir stood up, he went to Blue. As he reached him, he saw Blue looking ahead at the dark.
“Blue, here is today's meal. We both will have to share since everyone did the same,” Nir said, as he put the bowl into Blue's hand.
He moved the rock beside Blue and sat down on it. Blue glanced back at those people and saw that they were all eating. He gave the bowl back to Nir.
“I am not hungry; you eat this. Why bother coming here? Go back and eat with the others.”
Blue rested his head on the back of the tree after saying that, but Nir put the bowl back in his lap.
“I said we are sharing, so we are sharing. You can't just decide things on your own.”
So, in the end, Blue ate first, and when he was done, he gave the bowl back to Nir, and then Nir ate. But after just taking the first bite, Nir was coughing and realized he hadn't brought water with him.
“Here, Nir,” a water bottle appeared from behind them. It was Liya standing there.
Nir took the bottle and gulped the water down right away. As he was drinking, Liya was patting his back.
“You are really clumsy, Nir,” she said, smiling. And she noticed Blue wasn't looking at her. He was looking to the other side.
"Um, Blue, I am really sorry that I forgot about you. I thought we had already given you your portion, but that was not the case. I was careless, I guess."
Blue tsked and turned his head towards her. "Don't you get tired of running your mouth nonstop? You were sobbing earlier, and now you're starting with a pathetic apology."
Her eyes widened hearing that. She couldn't believe what Blue was saying to her because no one had ever said anything like that to her face before.
"What did you say?" she asked.
Blue rolled his eyes and then stood up from the chair. “I am going for a walk.”
Saying this, he left and soon disappeared into the dark. As he left, Liya sat down beside Nir.
“Nir, why don't you keep your distance from Blue? He may have saved your life, but he is not a good person; I can feel that. There is a dark aura inside him,” she said.
A dark aura is something only powerful beings from the gates possess. So, there is no way a human could possess this much dark energy. It only means Blue is no longer human, or he must be something very dangerous.
These were Liya's words, which echoed through Nir's ears again and again. He had already imagined that Blue wasn't an ordinary human because an ordinary human can't heal people the way Blue healed him.
Nir was sure that Blue wasn't a bad person, but he didn't say that to Liya. He was only listening silently while Liya was talking. And once she left after she was done talking, that's when Nir thought about everything his own.
