“Exactly because of that, Nia. That’s why I told you to try getting close to the guy. The cure for a broken heart is new love, duh! Besides, from your description, he sounds rich. He has a car, wears formal suits, and is mature. I mean, that’s actually a pretty great deal! Especially compared to a guy who doesn’t even know what his future’s going to look like.”
Tiara shot a quick glance at Danis, who stubbornly kept whistling despite having been found out.
Tiara was obviously directing those words at him, thankfully without him realizing it at all. “But Nia, after hearing your story, now I’m curious about this Galih guy. Nis, do you have a picture of him?”
I ignored whatever the two of them did after that. My thoughts returned to Galih. Was it really possible that he was interested in me?
My phone rang, snapping me out of my thoughts. I grabbed it and looked at the screen. An utterly unexpected call was coming in. I glanced over at Danis and Tiara, who had been busy looking at photos of Galih on Danis’s phone. The ringing had caught their attention too, and they were curious about who was calling me.
My eyes widened when I saw the name on my screen.
Oh my God, Galih?
I gaped at the guy now standing confidently beside me in my campus cafeteria. He seemed completely unaware that his arrival had drawn the attention of every student in the place—especially the girls, who were screaming at the sight of him.
Tiara, who had just seen Galih’s entire photo collection on Danis’s phone, gaped just like I did while motioning for Danis to close his phone so no one would realize she’d just looked Galih up. Danis quickly shoved his phone back into the pocket of his jeans, giving Galih an awkward smile as he greeted him.
“You said your classes were already over, right?”
I nodded, still in shock over his unexpected arrival. I’d thought that since he said he was on his way, he wouldn’t get here this fast. It had only been five minutes since I ended his call! Oh my God, how did he get here so quickly?!
Galih walked over to Tiara and Danis. “Can I borrow Nia for today?”
Tiara winked at me, then nodded quickly and enthusiastically urged me to agree to go with Galih.
“Of course! She’s free today! Go on, go with your partner!”
“But—”
Tiara gave me a look that clearly said, You’re going, or I’ll steal Galih from you, and I couldn’t refuse at all. I reached for my bag, which Galih promptly took from me, and got up from my seat.
“Thanks. What’s your name?”
“Tiara.”
Galih gave Tiara a gentle smile. “Thanks again, Tiara. Come on, Bunny. Let’s go.”
“I’m heading out, okay?”
Tiara gestured for me to hang in there, though I had no idea what I was supposed to be fighting for. Galih’s other hand clasped mine and pulled me out of the campus cafeteria toward the parking lot. There, I could see his white car parked—the same car Galih had used to drive me home last week.
“Um, Galih.”
“Yeah?”
“There’s actually something I want to ask you. Is that okay?”
Galih smiled gently. “Of course. What do you want to ask?”
“My name isn’t Bunny. My name is Nia. Why do you keep calling me Bunny?”
Galih tilted his head, looking confused. “Why? You don’t like me calling you that?”
“No. I’m not a rabbit.”
His brows furrowed as he glanced at me, then he finally laughed when he looked at me. “Oh my God, Bunny. How could you not realize you’re cute?”
