That night, Wulan and Lina met at a small coffee shop not far from the Sentosa Corporation building, away from the eyes of other employees who might recognize them.
"Sri, I tried finding out about Morgan through a few contacts in the building's security department," Lina said as she opened a small note on her phone. "Apparently, there's a man who's often seen waiting for Bella in the back parking lot, usually on Thursday nights."
"Today is Thursday." Wulan glanced at the clock on her phone. It was seven in the evening. "That means we still have time."
"Are you sure you want to follow them right away, Sri? If we get caught, things could get messy." Lina looked hesitant.
"I won't be reckless, Lina. We only need photos or solid evidence. There's no need for a direct confrontation," Wulan replied firmly. "Come on, we're short on time."
The two of them hurried to the back parking lot of the Sentosa Corporation building in a car Lina had rented. They parked in a dark, hidden corner that still gave them a clear view of the employee exit.
"There she is!" Lina whispered suddenly, pointing at Bella as she emerged from the building in casual clothes unlike her usual outfits, her face hidden behind sunglasses even though it was already dark.
Wulan raised her phone and discreetly aimed the camera at Bella as she walked toward a black sports car parked far from the main CCTV cameras.
"She deliberately parked in an area with minimal surveillance," Wulan murmured suspiciously.
The sports car's door opened, and a sharply dressed man in a leather jacket stepped out, grinning as he welcomed Bella's arrival.
"Darling, finally." The man—presumably Morgan—wrapped Bella in a tight embrace and kissed her forehead affectionately.
"Morgan, I've missed you so much." Bella warmly returned the embrace, completely unlike the cold attitude she'd shown everyone else until now.
Wulan quickly took several photos from inside the car, her hands trembling slightly as she struggled with her conflicting emotions.
"How's our plan coming along, Bel?" Morgan asked as he opened the car door for Bella.
"It's going perfectly. Adrian completely trusts me now. Next week, he's going to give me access to the company's operating account," Bella replied as she got into the car.
"Good. After that, we can slowly start putting our plan into action." Morgan smiled slyly, closed the car door, and walked around to the driver's side.
"Sri, they're leaving. Should we follow them?" Lina whispered in a panic.
"Follow them, but keep your distance," Wulan replied quickly.
Lina started the car and carefully followed the black sports car from a distance. They headed to a luxurious restaurant in the city's upscale district, a place rarely visited by anyone who knew Bella or Adrian.
"They're going into that restaurant, Sri," Lina said after parking across the street.
"Let's find a place inside where we can keep an eye on them." Wulan got out of the car, followed by Lina, who wore a hat and glasses as a simple disguise.
They managed to get a table in a fairly concealed corner of the restaurant, while still being able to watch Bella and Morgan's table in the VIP area, where the two sat together.
"Sri, try to listen. It sounds like they're discussing something serious," Lina whispered, pretending to read the menu.
From a distance, though she couldn't hear the conversation clearly, Wulan saw Morgan hand Bella a brown envelope, which she immediately slipped into her purse with a wary movement.
"That can't be anything good," Wulan muttered as she used her phone's camera to photograph the handoff from a distance.
After a while, Bella and Morgan appeared to embrace passionately once more before finally parting ways and returning to their respective cars.
"Sri, we have solid evidence now," Lina said as soon as they returned to the car. "Photos of them embracing, photos of that mysterious envelope being handed over... This has to be connected to their evil plan."
"This is only the beginning, Lina." Wulan stared at her phone's screen, studying the photos she'd managed to take. "We need to find out what's inside that envelope and what they're really planning to do to the company."
"How can we find that out?" Lina asked.
"I'll try to dig deeper into this Morgan. Maybe he has a suspicious business record," Wulan replied, deep in thought. "I'll also ask someone I trust to track down any suspicious financial transactions at the company."
"Someone you trust? What do you mean?" Lina stared at her in confusion.
Wulan fell silent for a moment, realizing she'd nearly let something slip. "I'll tell you more later, Lina. What's important now is that we stay alert and gather as much evidence as possible."
Lina nodded, though her curiosity about the mysterious Sri—who with each passing day was showing more intelligence and courage than an ordinary cleaner ever should—only grew stronger.
"Sri, I completely trust you," Lina said sincerely as she started the car for the drive home. "Whatever secret you're keeping, I know you're a good person fighting for the truth."
Wulan smiled, deeply moved by the young woman's sincere trust. "Thank you, Lina. You have no idea how much your support means to me right now."
On the way home, Wulan gazed out the car window, her thoughts drifting to Adrian, who might be sleeping soundly at that very moment, unaware of the grave danger lurking in the form of the person he trusted most.
"Hang on a little longer, Adrian," Wulan whispered inwardly. "Mom will prove everything soon and save you from the abyss that's nearly destroyed your life."
