The moment Raya said Kasandra needed to pee, the entire class erupted. They whispered and shouted in panic because no one was allowed to leave the classroom, according to the principal’s announcement earlier.
Saka was the most hysterical of all. He had already been terrified for a while, and now his fear was only getting worse.
"You know, Ray? Nobody’s allowed out of the classroom. Anyone, no matter what the reason."
Raya hissed irritably. "Kasandra’s about to piss herself, dumbass. Do you even understand what I just said?"
Saka ignored Raya’s words. Instead, he walked to the front door and leaned his body against it.
"Anyone who wants to leave has to get past me. I don’t care if they’re a girl or a guy."
Saka’s gaze shifted to Raya, who was now thoroughly pissed off. Raya swept her already-short school uniform up to her shoulders, then stepped forward without the slightest hint of fear.
"You still think I’m a girl, huh? If you’re that scared, you’re the girl, you bastard."
Saka hissed angrily. Raya refused to back down.
"You wanna fight? I’ll fight you right now, asshole!"
The uproar inside the classroom intensified. On top of that came the racket from outside. There was pounding on the door, screams for help, and then a sickening THUD. After that, they heard the splash of liquid... or maybe blood.
The students grew even more hysterical. Saka, who had been ready to fight Raya, immediately stared in terror.
"You hear that? You all heard it, right?! You still wanna open the door? Someone out there is already dead! I’m sure of it. Fuck!"
Raya wasn’t scared in the slightest.
"If you’re scared, don’t drag me into it. I just wanna go out with Kasandra so she can take a piss. Move."
Saka laughed bitterly. "You wanna escort Kasandra to the bathroom, or escort her to the afterlife, huh?!"
Raya grew even more provoked. "You talk way too much—"
"ENOUGH!"
Iwan suddenly shouted, making everyone in the classroom turn toward him. His face had gone pale.
"D-don’t get so worked up. I have to pee too, but I’m holding it—"
"Hey, Baldy."
Raya turned around and looked at Iwan.
"You’ve got a dick, right? The tip’s pointed. If you need to pee, just stick it in a bottle. Otherwise, go perch on that window over there."
Several students who found the remark funny had to hold back their laughter. They knew well enough that this was not the time for jokes.
Iwan was speechless after getting hit with that comeback. He fell silent, then turned his face away, intimidated by Raya’s stare.
"So..."
Raya refocused her attention on the still-stubborn Saka.
"You still gonna stop me? I’ll beat your ass right now, horse-face."
The increasingly heated atmosphere gave Ares a headache. In a situation like this, they should have been working together and supporting one another. Instead, they were fighting among themselves like this.
Ares even cursed himself for not knowing who was right and who was wrong. He also had no idea who should be supported or who needed to be talked down.
Rajawali clenched his fist as he watched the argument. Then he raised his hand, making everyone in the classroom turn toward him.
"Let me. I’ll go out."
Everyone gaped at him.
Rajawali slipped his hand into the pocket of his hoodie.
"We can’t keep fighting like this. To get it over with, I’ll check outside myself. If it’s safe, I’ll call Kasandra to go to the bathroom."
