The procedure took only two minutes. Two minutes later, the nutritional IV in the back of Alex's left hand had also been properly attached.
The young man was guided to lie down on the bed. The two doctors who had been accompanying him suddenly stepped aside when approaching footsteps could be heard.
Director Sebastian came over to greet him.
"We haven't had a chance to introduce ourselves yet. First of all, I want to tell you that everything that happens in your simulated life is entirely your own decision. I only provided the initial life path. So... good luck fighting."
Alex looked at him with a sharp gaze. "As long as you don't kill me outright, don't worry... I'll show you. None of it will turn out the way you think it will."
Director Sebastian raised his hand after flashing a mocking smile. Doctor Renata immediately walked over to the capsule bed and pressed a button. A soft hum began to sound rhythmically, and Alex's eyes slowly closed.
No matter how hard Alex tried to resist, he still couldn't fight off the overwhelming drowsiness.
Director Sebastian clicked his tongue with a bright smile, occasionally twirling his mustache. Not long afterward, the mayor approached with the Director of Sunrise Entertainment.
"For the next fifteen minutes, he'll process his dream first, right?"
Renata answered, "That's right, sir. Alex will receive the memories of a life from the age of three until he turns seventeen. It's all a life arranged by the director. After these fifteen minutes, when he's seventeen, his real body's consciousness will enter. What happens next depends on the choices he makes. Only then will we be able to display his life in the dream."
After hearing the explanation, the mayor gave a brief nod.
He had already received the detailed life path arranged by Director Sebastian, and in his opinion, everything was perfect. Even if a religious leader were placed into a life like this, there was no guarantee that the faith in his heart would continue to guide him down the right path.
Especially Alex, who was only a twenty-two-year-old young man and hadn't even entered real society yet.
