“Can Mr. Gerry really lead this company? Isn’t it true that Mr. Gerry has no experience running a company?” Okky asked sarcastically.
“What exactly are you implying by saying that? Even though I don’t have any experience, I’m still more qualified than someone else to replace my brother,” Gerry shot back sarcastically.
“Enough, enough. The important thing is that you’re all willing to work with Gerry to help this company grow. Now, please return to your respective rooms,” Arman said, mediating the argument.
“All right, sir. Excuse us,” all the employees said before leaving.
“Hiro, Okky, I hope you can help Gerry,” Arman said, looking at Hiro and Okky.
“Of course, sir. I’ll be happy to guide Mr. Gerry in running this company,” Hiro replied with a smile.
“Thank you, Hiro. In that case, Dad’s going now, son,” Arman said as he patted Gerry on the shoulder.
“Yeah, Dad. Thanks. Be careful on your way home,” Gerry replied.
“Yes, son. Assalamualaikum.”
“Waalaikum salam,” everyone replied.
“Mr. Gerry, if you need anything, you can ask me or Okky,” Hiro said.
“Thanks, Hiro. In that case, excuse me. I’m going to my office,” Gerry said before walking straight to his room.
*That kid’s really getting out of hand! Watch yourself, Ger. I’ll make sure you don’t last long at this company,* Okky thought.
He and Hiro returned to their respective rooms. Okky immediately called Bella at her desk.
“Hello, sweetheart. What’s up?” Bella asked.
“Sweetheart, what’s going on? Gerry’s replacing Galaxy now. And he’s incredibly arrogant,” Okky said bluntly.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. Last night, I couldn’t convince Uncle Arman to appoint you as Galaxy’s replacement because Gerry suddenly said he wanted to take Galaxy’s place. What can I do now? Just leave it for the time being. We’ll find another way to get rid of him from the company later,” Bella explained.
“Okay. I’ll keep quiet for now, but I’m still going to make sure he doesn’t feel comfortable at this company,” Okky said.
“Yes, sweetheart. I’ll definitely help you,” Bella replied, just as devious as he was.
“Okay, sweetheart. I have to get back to work. I’ll call you again later. Bye, sweetheart,” Okky said, ending the call.
“Bye, sweetheart.”
Bella ended her conversation with Okky and smiled coldly, as if she were planning something.
“Bel, why are you dating Okky? He’s broke. You should be with Galaxy instead,” said Leona, Bella’s older sister.
“Haha, I’m only dating Okky to make our plan easier.”
“Plan? What are you talking about?” Leona asked, confused.
“I’m going to use him to take over Galaxy’s family business. Once we succeed, we’ll take the company and dump Okky,” Bella said with a sinister smile.
“That’s a brilliant idea. It would be even better if we got close to the company’s owner,” Leona replied.
“What do you mean? Galaxy isn’t here anymore. Don’t tell me you want to get close to Gerry?” Bella asked, not understanding her sister’s plan.
“If you can’t get Galaxy, I’ll get close to Uncle Arman. I’ll make him fall madly in love with me and give me anything I want,” Leona said with a sinister smile.
“Have you gone crazy, sis? Why would he leave his devout wife? He’s completely devoted to her,” Bella said, doubting her sister’s plan.
“You doubt me? Relax. I’ll take care of everything,” Leona said.
“What about Hiro, sis? He’s your fiancé,” Bella asked.
“Hiro is just a poor man! He works at the company, but his position is still low. If I marry him, what kind of life will I have? I’d much rather get close to Uncle Arman,” Leona said disdainfully, belittling Hiro.
Bella and Leona were both equally devious sisters. They were willing to destroy Galaxy’s family’s happiness to gain wealth instantly.
