Crash!!
The slight-framed woman slammed into the table after the burly man in front of her shoved her violently. The room looked like a dimly lit hotel room. However, they weren't the only two people inside.
A man wearing a white hotel robe was also sitting on the sofa. He wore a faint smile as he recorded everything happening with his phone camera.
"Hey... how long do you think you can keep clinging to those holier-than-thou principles?!" the tattooed man snarled as he yanked the long hair of the woman in the red dress.
Meanwhile, the other man smiled with satisfaction. He seemed to consider the scene unfolding before him entertaining. Instead of helping the woman, he actually looked pleased. That man was completely insane.
"Shut up!!" the fair-skinned woman snapped, swatting the man's hand away. "As of today, I quit this place!!"
Smack!!
Another hard slap struck her left cheek, leaving a red mark. The blow was so hard that fresh blood ran from the corner of her mouth.
"Who said you could quit?! Have you forgotten why you're here in the first place?!" the man snarled again, his eyes savage.
The woman could only clench her fists in fury. Once again, she was unable to do anything to save herself. There were too many risks if she forced herself to leave now. But if she stayed in this place, she would only become more and more oppressed.
Her hair was yanked again. She could only curse inwardly. This wasn't the first time she'd been treated that way. It had happened so often that she couldn't count the number of times.
"If I catch you acting up one more time, I'll be the first person to finish you off!" he continued, then shoved the woman until she sprawled onto the floor.
At that moment, the door was kicked in from outside. A tall man with a well-proportioned build stood in the doorway. He wasn't fat or overly thin.
The man with sharp eyes and a sharp suit curled his lips into a mocking smile. He took in the state of the hotel room, then looked over the faces of everyone inside one by one.
"Who are you?!" the burly man demanded in a challenging tone.
Meanwhile, the man sitting on the sofa began to panic. He even tried to run, but the newcomer kicked him before he could get through the door.
"Me? I'm just someone who happened to be passing by and happened to know her," he replied, pointing at the girl whose face was covered in bruises.
"Then what business do you have here?!" the other man asked again, his voice tense.
"Nothing. Just let her go," he added without the slightest hint of fear.
"Huh?"
The handsome, fair-skinned man with a prominent nose let out a harsh breath. Ah... people like this relied more on muscle than brains. He wasn't going to understand what he'd just said.
"I mean... let her go now," he said again, making his words clearer. That way, the man in front of him should be able to understand him.
"Hahaha... what if I don't?"
It wasn't a question. It was a refusal. The tattooed man only wanted to challenge his opponent and make him incapable of fighting back.
He fell silent for a moment, as if thinking. But his right hand slowly moved to retrieve something he'd hidden behind his back.
"Hmm... easy. Just say hello to hell," he said, aiming a Wilson Combat firearm at the man trying to look brave.
The room fell silent for several seconds. Then the sound of a gunshot shattered the silence.
Bang!!
