Before the Storm Breaks

A car accident during a rainstorm when she was seven took Yinghua Xu’s parents and sealed away her childhood. As an adult, she became a celebrated genius painter, and a patient suffering from severe insomnia and PTSD. In her world, colors are distorted, and night is a bone-chilling nightmare. To keep herself from falling asleep, she tears all her pain and blood-red anguish across the canvas. Until the day she was brought to Tingmian Shen’s therapy clinic. Tingmian Shen is a renowned therapist: cool, rational, and professional, with a low, soothing voice that can calm people in an instant.
