Escaping Grief to London

The French Revolution took many things from Nicolas, including his beloved, Ilona Magritte de Baudelaire. After her death, Nicolas chose to flee his homeland, France. Her death was a tragedy he would never forget. His country had turned into a frightening, foreign world. He had to leave so he would stop being haunted by his hateful past. He hoped London would be the start of a new life, free of the past's shadow. Would he succeed? And what would happen if his shameful past came back in a form he could never have imagined?
