Home Was Never Part of the Plan

Lyra has one unbreakable rule: marriage is a trap. The trauma of watching her parents' marriage collapse made her strike the word commitment from her life. Thankfully, she has Ales, her best friend since high school. Years have gone by, but they haven't changed—always teasing and bothering each other. The difference is that Ales is now a single dad to Ion, a toddler who is gradually becoming part of Lyra's daily life. But the more time they spend together, the more the line of friendship blurs. Small acts of care start to feel different, and a closeness that once felt normal begins to feel much too comfortable. Perhaps, without Lyra noticing, the home she has been looking for has been right next to her all along—in her best friend.
