The Eight-Hundred-Dollar Chamber

Evicted in the middle of the rainy season, garment worker Linh jumps at an impossibly cheap room in a boarding house on remote Tea Hill. The gentle landlady has just one rule: after midnight, never open the door to anyone who knocks. Linh soon learns why the rent is so low, as the damp, green-painted building pulls her into a nightmare tangled up with the dead, buried secrets and her own forgotten past.
