The Hex

Chen Po-han, a physics professor famous for his contempt for pseudoscience, dismisses curses as an evolutionary flaw of the human brain. When unsettling events tie him to a family past his parents always refused to discuss, he leads a rational expedition to remote Wuyin Village. Its elders warn him not to cross the boundary marker, but Chen trusts reason over superstition, unaware of the forces he may be provoking.
