The Island No Map Ever Showed

Raka Pradana set out to shoot a storm and came back with an impossible photo: a black island rising from the Banda Sea where charts show only open water. On that same negative is a picture of Adi, his younger brother, missing for three years. Joined by Maya, a mapmaker who has spotted a similar anomaly, and Jalu, a boat mechanic who reads the local currents, Raka heads for Dark Sail Island. The trouble is, it only surfaces on certain nights, and everyone who has hunted for it tells a different story. Past an old lighthouse, a cave flooded by the tides and the remains of an ancient harbor, the three find signs of a hidden network that has protected the island for centuries. Then an energy company and an ambitious reporter join the chase, and Raka faces a choice: reveal Indonesia's greatest ocean secret, or destroy the proof to protect the island and perhaps his brother. The island isn't lost; it's in hiding. And someone wanted Raka to find it.
